The five friends we have missed are back! The global-hit drama, ‘Hospital Playlist’ has returned with a second season and fans are elated about the great news.

Earlier today, the press conference was held at the set of Yulje Medical Centre, where the drama was filmed. The main cast Cho Jung-Seok, Yoo Yeon-Seok, Jung Kyung-Ho, Kim Dae-Myeung, Jeon Mi-Do and Director Shin Won-ho met the press virtually and shared about what viewers can expect for the Season 2 of ‘Hospital Playlist’.

Here's what went down during the press conference today!

Q: What is the main focus for 'Hospital Playlist Season 2'?

Director Shin: The series will make you grow close to the cast and we hope that the audience will be happy to see them return on the screen as friends again.

Jung Kyung Ho: In Season 1, the story focused on introducing the characters of the show. In Season 2, we will show stronger chemistry and friendship.

Jeon Mi-Do: The heart-warming and tear-jerking stories will be the focus for Season 2.

Jo Jung Seok: There will be changes in the relationship between characters, some characters will be involved in romantic relationships and have feelings for each other. Their stories will be told and shown in an interesting way.

Yoo Yeon Suk: At Yulje Medical Centre, besides the main 5 doctor friends, other characters will also have more development and have more fascinating stories to tell.

Kim Dae Myeung: Many viewers enjoy our band practices, you can continue to look forward to a more skilled band!

The cast also mentioned that the band, 'Mido and Falasol' has become a skilled band! The drummer of the band, actor Yoo Yeon-seok shared that they took around one month to master a song in Season 1. However, now that their skills have accelerated, the band only requires around one week of band practice to be able to perform a song!

The guitarist of the band, actor Jung Kyung-Ho also expressed his love for his instrument and that he feels that it is the right instrument for him.

It was also revealed that we can also expect 'Mido and Falasol' to have more challenging songs in the second season and we simply anticipate more great music and teamwork from the squad!

When asked about how Director Shin wanted the 'Hospital Playlist' series to be remembered by the audience, he replied, "I hope for the series to be a heart-warming drama series. With all the social distancing rules in place these days, it is very different from how we used to live. We hope the series will remind you of the feeling of love and affection."

Director Shin also sang praises about actor Yoo Yeon-seok, who plays a pediatrician in Yulje Medical Centre. Because of the actor's love for children, he has different gestures and expressions when he is acting with the child actors.

The director talked about how some younger child actors would have a short attention span during filming and that actor Yoo Yeon-seok opened his heart to them and let them do whatever they wanted to. The hardworking actor would even take his break time to play with the child actors for them to be comfortable and have better chemistry on the screen!

Beyond the press conference, the main cast also sat down with the media and provided useful and constructive tips to lifelong friendship for viewers.

Jeon Mi-Do: I would say, to spare some time for your friend is the key to lifelong friendship, calling each other and meeting up to spend time with each other. When friends stop spending time with each other, they will drift apart.

Yoo Yeon Suk: I think being there for your friends during hard times is the key to friendship, meeting each other and all. But I believe it is more important to spend time with each other during hard times.

Jo Jung Seok:  Although I play the role of Ikjun, I personally feel that the key to friendship is to listen to your friends, to keep our ears open and mouth closed.

Kim Dae Myeung: It is important to not take each other for granted as you will not find each other so valuable.

'Hospital Playlist' is a series that revolves around five doctors who have been friends since medical school and are now working at the same hospital. The drama also shows heartwarming and touching stories of patients and other doctors in Yulje Medical Centre.

With Season 1 being a hit-drama and leaving us with cliffhangers, we cannot wait to see how the story will progress in Season 2!

'Hospital Playlist Season 2' is set to premiere on Netflix, 17th June, 9PM KST.

Good chemistry is like a breath of fresh air that elevates the viewing experience to a whole other level. There’s an extra burst of sweetness when we see friendships continue from filming into real life. 

In the past year, we’ve had the privilege of watching several excellent K-dramas, thanks to the actors’ sizzling chemistry. Not only are they a joy to watch on-screen, they never fail to make viewers smile when the cameras are off too, such as the cast of the following shows.

Love Alarm S2

Love Alarm features a difficult love triangle between Kim Jojo (Kim So-hyun), Hwang Sun-oh (Song Kang), and Lee Hye-yeong (Jung Ga-ram). There’s a lot of heartfelt feelings on-screen and playful dynamics off-screen. You can notice the overall chemistry feeling more relaxed and comfortable in the second season. A second season does mean that the cast gets to spend more time with each other and this can help friendships grow stronger. You can see how friendly the main leads are as they joke around behind the scenes.

Sisyphus

Sisyphus focuses on genius engineer Han Tae-sul (Cho Seung-woo) and a woman named Gang Seo-hae (Park Shin-hye) who comes from the future to save him. On-screen, the pair’s teamwork is a delight to watch with Tae-sul’s ingenuity and Seo-hae’s fearlessness perfectly complementing one another. 

Off-screen, the actors are adorable as they joke around and strike funny poses. Both actors are known for maintaining friendships made on set and are very friendly with their co-stars. The duo’s partnership chemistry is one of the best facets of the series.

Lovestruck in the City

Lovestruck in the City shows couple Park Jae-won (Ji Chang-wook) and Lee Eun-o (Kim Ji-won) fall in love on the beach and find their way back to each other after returning to the city. Their chemistry is sizzling and you can see the affection they have for one another as they gaze at each other. The actors’ amazing chemistry with previous co-stars is further testament to their acting skills. Although we know they’re acting, many fans can’t help but ship them.

Space Sweepers

Sure, Space Sweepers is a film, but the cast members are so fun and natural together that we think they deserve an honourable mention! 

The movie is about four misfits - played by Song Joong-ki, Kim Tae-ri, Jin Sun-kyu, and Yoo Hai-jin - who unearth explosive secrets while salvaging space debris in the year 2092. The found family squabble and have their differences while working and living together on a spaceship, but their family-like chemistry is entertaining to watch.

Crash Landing On You

Crash Landing on You tells the love story between North Korean soldier Ri Jeong-hyeok (Hyun Bin) and South Korean heiress Yun Se-ri (Son Ye-jin). From their bickering to their heartfelt love for one another, their chemistry is simply fire. Having worked together previously through the movie The Negotiation, the pair had the advantage of already having a friendly relationship. The co-stars are definitely one of the most loved reel-to-real couples in K-dramaland.
