A new attraction to visit in South Korea: Jeongdok-Simgok Badabuchae-Gil Trail in GangNeung

Jeongdongjin in Gangneung is a popular place to watch the sun rising over the ocean. To further facilitate tourists, the city has opened Jeongdong-simgok Badabuchae-gil Trail, a 2.86km-long walking path along the rocky shore between Jeongdong and Simgok harbors. The rocks appear in the shape of a wide-open fan (buchae in Korean) facing out into the ocean.

Jeongdong-simgok Badabuchae-gil Trail was previously a patrol route for the military, and has never before been opened to the general public. Take advantage of this special opportunity to explore the East Sea’s natural history through coastal terraces formed over 23 million years ago. These unique fan-shaped rocks are protected as Natural Monument No. 437.

A wonderful Korea Drama Night with Sung Hoon + Special guests: The King & Rookie Actors, Lee Pan Do & Ho Seong

In the last week of October, actor Sung Hoon graced Malaysian shores together with uprising K-pop group, The King and also two rookie actors, Lee Pan Do and Ho Seong at 'Korea Drama Night' which hosted by Korea Tourism Organization (KTO).

Thousands of fans swarmed to KLCC Plenary Hall on 28 October 2017 (Saturday), 7pm just to watch Sung Hoon up close. Fans who not able to grab the tickets were seen waited outside the venue just to catch a glimpse of the actor.

If you think Sung Hoon is only good in acting, a big no-no as he surprised the audiences by performing a total of 4 songs, “Pumping Jumping”, “My Style” and drama ‘My Secret Romance’ OSTs - “You are the world of me” and “The Ocean and You”.

Two fans were picked on stage to play games with Sung Hoon during the game session. (ps: Sung Hoon even picked fans from the upper tier *furthest from the stage* which given the chance to every fans at the venue to meet him up close) One of the warm-hearted moments was Sung Hoon trying to solve the issue when three fans instead of two came on stage. Gifts were given to all three fans and Sung Hoon even left his autograph on the photo books. When comes to the photo session, fans showed their desired in hoping to stand right beside Sung Hoon and once again, Sung Hoon switched his position for each fans to have the chance to stand beside him. (ps: such a sweet OPPA)

Other than Sung Hoon, KTO also brought Sung Hoon's labelmates, The King, actors Lee Pan Do and Ho Seong to Malaysia to meet the fans for the very first time. (ps: The King's Bawool studied in Malaysia previously so this was not his first visit~) The King, is a K-pop group who well-known for their popular single, 'The Outline of Love'. (ps: recently, they released the mandarin version of the single)

Surprisingly Lee Pando and Ho Seong sang really well as being an actor. The guests started with collaboration stage where The King’s Bawool and Lee Pando sang drama Goblin's OST, ‘First Snow' followed by The King's ‘Look Back’ and ‘Makes Me High’ performances. The crowd went wild when Sung Hoon joined the stage during 'The Ocean and You' performance. The collaboration stage ended with Lee Pando, Ho Seong and The King's Sejin's 'Blue' performance. (ps: The King live performance was really great too, hope they will comeback and release more songs!)

Before the night ended, Sung Hoon transformed as a DJ and turned the venue into a nightclub. The audiences can't hide but jumping off their seats and followed the rhythm. Thanks to the exciting Sung Hoon DJ non-stop playing the beats during the encore stage, the show was extended to an hour. (ps: thank you for showing your loves to Malaysian fans~ xD)

The surprise is not ended as Sung Hoon prepared a hi-touch session in showing appreciation to the fans who came to the event. (ps: Sung Hoon wore a glove in showing respect to our Muslim friends, He even explained before the hi-touch session that depending on the fans, they can choose to come on stage to greet him without having hi-touch.) We were truly amazed by Sung Hoon's thoughtfulness.

Followed by the announcement of the direct flight from Kuala Lumpur to Jeju Island recently, Korea Tourism Organization once again brought us some great news! During the 'Korea Drama Night', KTO also announced that next year there'll be direct flight from Johor to Seoul! (ps: Rejoice, Johor people) For your info, 'Korea Drama Night' was held with the main vision to promote Korea culture and hoping to make Korea as the main tourist destination for Malaysian.

Nam Joo Hyuk, the heart-throb to thousands of Malaysian fans!

YG Entertainment's Nam Joo Hyuk made his first visit to Malaysia on 21st October 2017. Thousands of fans gathered at Kenanga Wholesale City for the last stop of his fan meeting tour, Nam Joo Hyuk Private Stage [Close Up] in Kuala Lumpur!

Nam Joo Hyuk started his career as a model, who then gained popularity through several dramas such as Scarlet Heart: Ryeo, School 2015 and Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo. We even heard fans shouting "Ha Baek! Ha Baek!" (the character name that he acted in drama, Bride of the Water God) at the opening stage when he appeared on stage.

Nam Joo Hyuk tried his best to perform a total of 4 songs, although there were some mistakes but the cheers from the crowd grew loudly in giving support to him. Nam Joo Hyuk then adorably apologised for forgetting the lyrics and fans praised him for carrying on despite the mistakes. Asides, Nam Joo Hyuk prepared a song specially for Malaysia fans as this was the last stop of his fan meeting. (ps: Malaysian fans you're lucky enough~ xD)

The fan meeting was like a "Get-To-Know-NamJooHyuk" event, as he shared lots of his personal feelings and experiences to the fans. From the VCRs played at the fan meeting, fans got to know (although the fans probably already knew XD) the 'history' of Nam Joo Hyuk which is about how he changed his career from a basketball player to a model, then as an actor. Not only that, the VCRs also featured his childhood photos and also some of the drama scenes that he has acted.

When being asked which his favourite drama role, Nam Joo Hyuk answered: "The role as Jung Joon Hyung from drama Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo because the character personality is close to my real personality."

Nam Joo Hyuk also revealed that the most memorable script from his drama and the answer is still the same --> Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo! Watch what he said about it:

Fans were well-pampered by Nam Joo Hyuk as he prepared his personal items such as suit, drama 'Bride of the Water God' plush toy for the lucky fans. Before given out to the fans he left a signature on the plush toy and even hugged and kissed it. (ps: awesome fans service)

Halfway throughout the fan meeting, Nam Joo Hyuk transformed as a chef and made kimbap for the fans. In order to get the desired ingredients to make the kimbap, Nam Joo Hyuk was needed to complete the mission with the fans such as staring game, telepathy challenge, push up challenge and bottle flip challenge game. As Nam Joo Hyuk lost during the staring game, he had no choice but to put wasabi in the kimbap. The kimbap then was delivered to a 'lucky' fans. (ps: hmmm...should we say this is a gift or punishment? ㅋㅋㅋ) In apologies for delivering the 'wasabi' kimbap to the fans, the sweet Nam Joo Hyuk left an autograph on the apron that he wore and give it to the fans. (ps: even though the fans reassured that the kimbap was yummy XD)

Right after, four lucky fans then were picked on stage to reenact the famous scenes of drama Bride of the Water God with Nam Joo Hyuk. Fans who sat at the audience seats can't hide their jealousy and were seen shouting out of jealousy throughout the whole session. Just look at how Nam Joo Hyuk gave a back hug to one of the fans!

Before the fan meeting ended, Nam Joo Hyuk sat down and read his hand-written letter to the fans in thanking them for giving the supports and loves. The surprise is not ending yet as Nam Joo Hyuk walked down the stage to meet fans up close when performing the encore song. Nam Joo Hyuk even prepared roses and gave the fans.

Knowing that fans would definitely miss him after he left and he promised to return to Malaysia every year if the fans continued to support him! So, Malaysian fans you know what to do. Show your love more in order for him to return for his second visit.
