BLACKPINK is back. and this time, they're taking Asia by storm.

Today, global pop juggernaut BLACKPINK officially announced the Asia leg of their WORLD TOUR <DEADLINE>, with a powerhouse lineup of stadium shows kicking off this fall. Promoted by Live Nation, the newly revealed run launches on October 18 in Kaohsiung, before bringing multi-night spectacles to Bangkok, Jakarta, Manila, and Singapore, and closing with a two-night finale in Hong Kong in January 2026.

Following their sold-out stadium run across North America and Europe this summer, this next chapter marks the group’s first major headline trek since their record-shattering [BORN PINK] World Tour (2022–2023)—which drew over 1.8 million fans and became the highest-grossing tour by a girl group in history. With <DEADLINE>, JISOO, JENNIE, ROSÉ, and LISA continue to define the global standard for pop superstardom.

Tickets will be available starting Tuesday, June 10 with a Weverse presale followed by a VISA presale beginning Wednesday, June 11 (details below). Changi Rewards Member will enjoy early access through a dedicated presale on Thursday, 12 June and finally the general onsale will begin Friday, June 13 at 11am local time at Ticketmaster.sg.

VISA PRESALE:

Visa cardholders in tour markets across Asia will have access to an exclusive 1-day presale event to purchase tickets. The presale will be split into 2 phases – Visa Infinite Presale and Visa Presale. The Visa Infinite Presale will be available for Visa Infinite cardholders on Wednesday, 11 June, 11am – 2pm local time while Visa Presale will be open for all Visa cardholders on the same day, 4pm – 11:59pm. 2018 MAMA PREMIERE in Korea

The global music festival, 2018 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) will be held in 3 countries - Korea (10th Dec), Japan (12th Dec) and Hong Kong (14th Dec) and today, CJ ENM announces that awards of 7 categories including Best New Male/Female Artist (KPOP) and Best New Asian Artist Category for five regions will be presented at "2018 MAMA PREMIERE in KOREA".

2018 MAMA PREMIERE in KOREA is set to take place at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), Korea on 10th December, with 12 nominees from the Best New Artist and 5 artist teams from Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and China joining and performing at the awards ceremony. Last year winner of Best New Male Artist, WANNA ONE will make an appearance at the ceremony to congratulate this year's new and upcoming artists.

No ticket sales will be available for 2018 MAMA PREMIERE in KOREA, however, you may stand a chance to win the tickets to the award ceremony by participating in #LikeMAMA campaign which will be starting from 20-26 November. Details of the campaign will be announced next Tuesday, 20 November on 2018 MAMA official website.

The 'Best New Asian Artist' category is the new addition to this year's awards which the best new artist from 5 regions in Asia will be receiving the honors.

Rookies from all across Asia including Dean Ting, HIRAGANA KEYAKIZAKA46, Marion Jola, Orange, and The Toys are set to perform during the night. The nominees are selected based on the data provided by ORICON (Japan), Tencent Music (China), KKBOX (Hong Kong, Taiwan), JOOX (Indonesia, Thailand), and ZING MP3 (Vietnam).

Information about 2018 MAMA

MAMA will kick start the festival in Korea followed by "2018 MAMA Fans' Choice in Japan" which taking place at Saitama Super Arena on 12th December, with performers including BTS, IZ*ONE and TWICE. "2017 MAMA in Hong Kong", however will take place at AsiaWorld-Expo, Arena on 14th December with BTS and WANNA ONE as the performers.

More performers and nominations will be announced soon. Meanwhile, you can now vote for the 18 K-POP Categories - 'Artist of the Year' and 'Song of the Year' and more on MAMA's official website until 9 December.

MAMA Kick Starts 1st Week #LikeMAMA Campaign with Global Boyband, BTS

In celebration to Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) 10th anniversary, #LikeMAMA campaign has been launched today (23 October 2018) dedicated for all MAMA lovers to participate in dream and enthusiasm of MAMA. The first week of the campaign welcomes the global boyband, BTS who breaks worldwide records and continuously re-writing their own history.

As the start of #LikeMAMA campaign, two video clips featured BTS's SUGA and V were published on 2018 MAMA official website. During the individual interview, SUGA and V shared their stories on how they successfully overcome their challenges and reached beyond goals at the same. SUGA and V further shared their future goals and also the new challenges they are facing.

#LikeMAMA Campaign - SUGA Interview:

SUGA said, "It was scarier than happy to overcome a tough challenge with the achievements beyond the set of goals. It made me work harder with a sense of duty at Billboard Hot 100, The Grammys and more"

#LikeMAMA Campaign - V Interview:

V, however said, "My biggest challenge and mission is to show new, different and exciting performances at every stage for our songs."

Followed by SUGA and V, #LikeMAMA campaign will continue to share RM and Jung Kook's interviews on 24th October, lastly, Jin, J-hope and Jimin's interviews on 25th October.

MAMA will continue to review interviews of other artists who have contributed to MAMA and music industry. From the interviews, the artists will share their own definitions and feelings for “Challenge”, “Passion”, and “Dream”, which are the themes of 2018 MAMA. V recalled in the interview, “I still remember the thrills and excitement on my first stage at MAMA.” Through their exclusive interviews, fans will be able to find out special meaning and diverse stories behind MAMA.

In addition, MAMA offers an opportunity for fans to witness 2018 MAMA live. Among fans who share their own challenge, passion or dream in writing on social media platforms with hashtag #LikeMAMA until 30th November 2018, the one with the most votes will win 2018 MAMA ticket package (ticket and related expenses included). #LikeMAMA Challenge:

2018 MAMA will progress as “MAMA WEEK” starting off at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Korea as “2018 MAMA PREMIERE in KOREA” on Monday, 10th Decemeber. Then, it will move on to Saitama Super Arena in Japan as “2018 MAMA FANS' CHOICE in JAPAN” on 12th December. Lastly, it will be happening at AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong as “2018 MAMA in HONG KONG” on 14th December. Fans can start voting for each category via the official website of “2018 MAMA”. Online voting will officially start from 6pm on Thursday, 1st November 2018 (KST) until 12 midnight on Sunday, 9th December 2018 (KST).

Organized and presented by CJ ENM, Asia’s biggest music awards MAMA has been started off in 1999 as “Mnet Music Video Awards” for more than 10 years supported by the Korean music industry. It has been developed and transformed to MAMA in 2009 and this year has come to its 10th awards ceremony. Being held in Macau in 2010 was a benchmark of MAMA’s first overseas achievement, since then it has been held in Singapore and Hong Kong. It was an astonishing attainment for the first ever MAMA to be held in three regions last year in Vietnam, Japan and Hong Kong.
