Tuesday, September 16, 2025
On September 13, the PARK BO GUM 2025 FAN MEETING TOUR [BE WITH YOU] IN KUALA LUMPUR brought the Idea Live Arena to life as thousands of fans gathered for the actor-singer’s long-awaited return to Malaysia. Organized by iMe Malaysia, the night marked his first appearance in Kuala Lumpur since March 2019 and served as the grand finale of his Asia tour before heading to Latin America and back to Seoul for his encore show.
Bogum opened with “Hello” by Joy of Red Velvet, handing the “Annyeong” line to the audience, turning the moment into a playful reunion between old friends. He followed with a soulful cover of “Fine” by Soran, telling fans through song that he would always be by their side. Soon after, he welcomed veteran host Owen Yap, who also hosted his first two Malaysian fan meetings, adding a nostalgic touch to the evening.
Explaining the theme of Be With You, Bogum said, “Fans have been with me since debut, so I want to be with them too.” He described the show as a train journey with different “stations,” inviting fans along with a cheerful “jom gerak” in Bahasa Malaysia, drawing cheers from the crowd. Few artists embody fan service the way Park Bo Gum does. The KL show highlighted his extraordinary generosity and care, making fans feel seen and valued at every turn.
Bogum shared exclusive photos from attending Ko Kyung Pyo’s exhibition and even selfies he snapped with fans at the airport, saying he appreciated their effort and wanted to treasure the moment. When taught to say “Aku cinta padamu”, he instantly transformed the phrase into a song on piano, filling the arena with laughter and awe.
Three lucky fans joined him on stage for a surprise segment. One sang “Gift” by Melomance with him, one danced to TWICE’s “What Is Love”, and one joined him for an emoji guessing games while all of them got selfies with him. Every fan interaction felt genuine, like he was giving each person their own special memory. Bogum even personally picked more than 20 winners to receive handpicked gifts from him which include signed souvenirs from his trips to Macau, Bangkok, and Korea. He went further by gifting over 50 signed polaroids, an unprecedented gesture that left the crowd in disbelief.
What made the evening even more special was how Bogum chose to communicate. Throughout the fan meeting, he spoke in English nearly 90 percent of the time. Though he modestly said he was not a good speaker, it was the complete opposite. His vocabulary, his expressions, and his delivery were flawless. More importantly, fans could feel his sincerity in every word, proving how much he wanted to connect personally with the audience.

The music continued with a mix of covers and fan favorites, including “On My Way”, “Cupcake + Travel”, and “Route 7.” Bogum invited fans to call out requests, leading to a heartfelt singalong session. He stunned the arena by performing the Malay classic “Belaian Jiwa”, a callback to his 2019 fan meeting, which drew roaring applause.
Bogum’s piano rendition of “Confession” by Delispice showed his artistry, while performances of “My Dearest”, “All My Love”, and “모두다 사랑하라” highlighted his versatility.
During “Let’s Go See the Star”, he asked fans to remain seated so he could meet them up close. Remarkably, the entire audience complied, allowing him to personally greet fans in every corner of the venue. Later, during the encore, he reappeared in a striking blue Baju Melayu, making the crowd erupt with emotion as he ventured up to the second floor to meet even more fans face-to-face.
Bogum’s humility and sincerity anchored the night. He acknowledged fanboys, couples, and international fans who had traveled from afar. He even expressed guilt about ticket prices, revealing that he asked organizers to lower them. Fans shouted back that it was worth every cent, assuring him that his efforts meant more than the cost.
The show stretched into a four-hour marathon, concluding with “Girls” and “Smile Boy.” Before leaving, Bogum made sure every attendee had the chance to say goodbye during a final farewell session, ensuring no one left without a personal connection.
When asked if he would return, Bogum answered carefully: “A man who keeps promise is one that doesn’t promise lightly.” While he avoided empty promises, his actions throughout the night left fans certain that he would find his way back whenever possible.
Park Bo Gum’s Kuala Lumpur finale was not just a fan meeting. It was a testament to his devotion, his artistry, and above all, his profound respect for the people who have walked with him since debut.
