NCT 127 preserves their ‘Legacy’ with NCTzens’ ardent support at NEO CITY: SINGAPORE - THE REDLINE
The group headed into a punctual, strong start with a power-packed intro: 'Legacy', 'Step Up', 'Walk', 'Simon Says', 'Cherry Bomb', 'Lemonade', 'Punch', 'Bring the Noize', '2 Baddies'. Can you believe they barely rested in between? Despite the choreography-heavy set, the boys’ visuals remained dazzling, while their stamina shone through every performance.
Finally taking a breather, NCT 127 presented their much-awaited greetings, with snippets of endearing Singlish:
Haechan: We came back after 4 years.
Taeyong: Hosehliao…. swee la!
Jaehyun: When we arrived backstage, Johnny and I saw the wardrobe and the sofa… it’s exactly the same! We definitely remembered it.
Yuta: I think we need to introduce the title of our concert first right..
Johnny: Okay! Do you know The Redline is? If you go over that red line, you overheat. If you overheat, the car breaks down. And we’re gonna bring it down today! *fans cheer* Are you ready to bring it down? Are you ready to cross the red line? Yeah that’s basically what the red line is.
Jaehyun: That’s why we started with nine songs straight! Which one did you like the most? Everything…?
Members like Jaehyun and Taeyong also spoke fluent English, showing how hard they worked to communicate with international fans.

The opening ment was followed by 'NonStop' and 'IKR', both making their live debut, before the boys launched into 'Ay-Yo'.
Every show will eventually take a slow turn, and this was when it happened for THE REDLINE. The stage faded into a beautiful blue-purple theme; where the members churned out sentimental ballads like ‘Not Alone’ and ‘Day After Day’. The former ended on a touching note and melted NCTzens’ hearts, spelling out 'Still Here NCT 127, We Stay Together' with the members themselves forming part of the words.
As the stage turned brighter, the mood also enlightened with the topic centered around crabs:
Taeyong: Whenever we come to Singapore, we always eat chilli crab and pepper crab. We ate it for the first time back then, and we ate a crazy lot. It’s like the fried bread… *fans shout the name* mantou? I thought mantou tasted the best. And kaya toast!
Haechan: I was really craving chilli crab in Seoul.. but they don’t exist there.
Jaehyun: Let’s vote who likes which flavour. Haechan and I like pepper. Johnny likes chilli. Yuta likes both too!
Taeyong: I was wondering… since we’re eating so many of these crabs, where do y’all get the crabs from? They’re all imported?! Wow.. I didn’t know.
Johnny: It’s a very.. educational day today. We’re learning so much. Back to the concert.. *fans laugh*

Following Johnny’s transition, the boys jumped into the second half of the show with a medley of summer hits 'O Mile', 'Summer 127' and 'Getaway'. Everyone’s energies showed no signs of slowing down as the members gave endless fanservice by going into the audience, enhancing the summer highs.
Now, the best part isn’t over - while the quintet went backstage for a change of outfits, a military-themed VCR played to continue entertaining fans. This theme reminded us of Taeyong and Jaehyun’s military returns, making the show an extra meaningful one for NCTzens. NCT 127 appeared back onstage in camouflage fits, refreshed and ready to bring the house down once again. With rock and roll vibes, they dished out some of their biggest hits 'Piñata', 'Fire Truck', 'Fact Check', 'Kick It' and latest title 'Blingy'.
Boys being boys, the hyung-line (older members) even playfully unzipped Haechan’s top during 'Blingy'.
After an emotive segment of NCTzens singing, the members kicked off their encore with 'Paper Plane' and 'TOUCH' in red and white tracksuits, reminiscent of our local colours. They once again provided generous fanservice and flew paper planes into the audience.
As the curtain call arrived, NCT 127 expressed their gratitude towards fans, who have been patiently waiting for their idols to come back to Singapore.
Jaehyun: When you guys raised the placards, we saw it backstage. Thank you for your lovely messages, we felt them all.
Johnny: The next time we’re back, it’ll be less than 4 years for sure.
Haechan: Don’t you feel like one day is too short? I really hope that next time, we can see you two days in a row.
Taeyong: *in English* Slay Singapore!
Yuta: Fans at the back - did you have fun too? I’m trying my best to deliver my love to those sitting there. You guys are so beautiful, love you guys. We weren’t able to come as much as we wanted, but I’m so happy to see y’all in a huge venue!
Jaehyun: You guys had the best energy in the whole world tonight. Our 'REDLINE' VCRs had a storyline from the start till the end, did you catch it?
It was then photo-time, a must-have to commemorate the concert. Fans were eager to serenade Yuta with a birthday song, whose birthday was upcoming on October 26, but weren’t the most coordinated until Johnny stepped in: 'You guys are off-tune. Let me help you!' The rest of the members also chimed in for the singing.
The group rounded up the show with 'Promise You', before appearing for a bonus surprise encore 'Blingy'.
Despite grueling choreographies and non-stop intense performances, the members never compromised their live singing. A few VCRs even included members Jungwoo and Doyoung, who are currently serving in the military, making it a bittersweet moment. Even without the full lineup, NCT 127 is still going strong with a full house, paying off the loyalty of Singapore NCTzens’ who missed them dearly. We can’t wait for NCT 127 to be back and create more unforgettable memories!
