In celebration to Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) 10th anniversary, #LikeMAMA campaign has been launched today (23 October 2018) dedicated for all MAMA lovers to participate in dream and enthusiasm of MAMA. The first week of the campaign welcomes the global boyband, BTS who breaks worldwide records and continuously re-writing their own history.

 As the start of #LikeMAMA campaign, two video clips featured BTS's SUGA and V were published on 2018 MAMA official website. During the individual interview, SUGA and V shared their stories on how they successfully overcome their challenges and reached beyond goals at the same. SUGA and V further shared their future goals and also the new challenges they are facing. 

SUGA said, "It was scarier than happy to overcome a tough challenge with the achievements beyond the set of goals. It made me work harder with a sense of duty at Billboard Hot 100, The Grammys and more" 

V, however said, "My biggest challenge and mission is to show new, different and exciting performances at every stage for our songs."

Followed by SUGA and V, #LikeMAMA campaign will continue to share RM and Jung Kook's interviews on 24th October, lastly, Jin, J-hope and Jimin's interviews on 25th October.

MAMA will continue to review interviews of other artists who have contributed to MAMA and music industry. From the interviews, the artists will share their own definitions and feelings for “Challenge”, “Passion”, and “Dream”, which are the themes of 2018 MAMA. V recalled in the interview, “I still remember the thrills and excitement on my first stage at MAMA.” Through their exclusive interviews, fans will be able to find out special meaning and diverse stories behind MAMA.

In addition, MAMA offers an opportunity for fans to witness 2018 MAMA live. Among fans who share their own challenge, passion or dream in writing on social media platforms with hashtag #LikeMAMA until 30th November 2018, the one with the most votes will win 2018 MAMA ticket package (ticket and related expenses included). 2018 MAMA will progress as “MAMA WEEK” starting off at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Korea as “2018 MAMA PREMIERE in KOREA” on Monday, 10th Decemeber. Then, it will move on to Saitama Super Arena in Japan as “2018 MAMA FANS' CHOICE in JAPAN” on 12th December. Lastly, it will be happening at AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong as “2018 MAMA in HONG KONG” on 14th December. Fans can start voting for each category via the official website of “2018 MAMA”. Online voting will officially start from 6pm on Thursday, 1st November 2018 (KST) until 12 midnight on Sunday, 9th December 2018 (KST).

Organized and presented by CJ ENM, Asia’s biggest music awards MAMA has been started off in 1999 as “Mnet Music Video Awards” for more than 10 years supported by the Korean music industry. It has been developed and transformed to MAMA in 2009 and this year has come to its 10th awards ceremony. Being held in Macau in 2010 was a benchmark of MAMA’s first overseas achievement, since then it has been held in Singapore and Hong Kong. It was an astonishing attainment for the first ever MAMA to be held in three regions last year in Vietnam, Japan and Hong Kong. Not only has MAMA become a significant year-end music awards ceremony, it has developed into an extravagant international music event. It has also simultaneously created an international communication/crossover network for music exchange which made MAMA gained recognition in Asia’s music industry and its communication network.

Hi-Lite Records, home to several rappers who appeared on the popular show “Show Me The Money,” is bringing some of their popular artists for Hi-Life in KL 2018 concert taking place on the 3rd Nov (Saturday). Paloalto, the founder of Hi-Lite Records, is headlining the concert, along with G2, Reddy, YunB, Huckleberry P, Sway D and DJ DJanga. It is sure to be a hit with fans of Korean hip-hop, especially as it’s being held in KL, home to many Korean Hip Hop fans.

The “Hi-Life in Kuala Lumpur 2018” will take place at ENVY Nightlife KL, kicking off at 10.30pm with the after party running until 5am. It’s only a small venue holding 1,000 people but the event organisers want the show to be intimate and casual and the rappers will be mixing and engaging with the audience throughout the night.

BTS, who have been unanimously dubbed the world’s biggest boy band, will make their grand return to Singapore for their first solo concert in over four years for the BTS WORLD TOUR ‘LOVE YOURSELF’. The septet will be making history in Singapore on January 19 as the first Korean act to ever play at the iconic National Stadium! 

Backed by the most passionate fans, BTS’ rise to meteoric levels of popularity are nothing short of phenomenal and they have set record after record during their climb to the top. The band have become one of the biggest musical acts in the world and even gave a historic speech to the United Nations in New York. Most recently, they were chosen to be on the cover of the world-renowned TIME magazine which named them “next generation leaders”. 

Taking another step closer towards world domination, BTS WORLD TOUR ‘LOVE YOURSELF’ will be the bands’ biggest tour to date, while successfully selling out all their shows in North America, UK and Europe before making their way back to Asia. Notably, they sold over 40,000 tickets to Citi Field in New York for their first stadium show in the US within minutes. Over in the UK, they smashed the record for most merchandise ever to be sold at London’s The O2 Arena, a record that was previously held by The Rolling Stones since 2012.

CAT 1 Benefit

WINNER finally made a stop in KL last Sunday (14th Oct) for WINNER 2018 EVERYWHERE TOUR held at Stadium Malawati. It has been 4 years since WINNER first visit to Malaysia (ps: WINNER came to Malaysia in 2014 as the guest performer for 2NE1 concert), but, the long-awaited return increased our hype even more as this is also WINNER first concert in Malaysia.

WINNER kick-started the concert with their debut title song "Empty" which brought us so much memories and realized how much the boys have grown since the reality competition program "WIN: Who is Next?". Riding on the soulful dance track, WINNER continued their 2nd album set list "Air",  "Hello" and "Everyday".

The members took a break to introduce themselves after the hype performances. Leader, Yoon shared his love towards our local food and commented "I wanted to feel the atmosphere and culture in Malaysia but couldn't because it was too late. Instead I had great food such as Satay, Mee Goreng and Nasi Lemak....via room service. And that is really delicious!" (ps: they even showed us the pictures of the food they had during the night) The comment of course, received a great response from the crowd as we, Malaysian are proud of our local food! > <

The concert continued with a sequence of solo stages, where each member showing off their individual talents. MINO started with his skillful rap performances - "Body" and "Turn Off The Light". JINU, however, turned the stadium into a warm yet sweet atmosphere when G-Dragon's "Untitled: 2014" was played. Yoon brought more emotional touch for the night by performing his solo track "It Rains" and even sang an acapella version of John Legend's "All of Me" which had the whole stadium chanting for him.

The surprise did not stop here when Yoon picked up his guitar and started to perform Yoon Jong Shin's "Instinctively". (ps: we bet many of you missed Yoon with his signature guitar right?) The audience went wild when Hoony was up next, showing his dance skills during "Serenade" and TaeYang's "Ringa Linga" performances.

Not only their powerful performances caught our attention, but the VCR itself was a plus point throughout the concert. Each member turned into different characters and brought us a bellyful of laughter. Yoon transformed into Jinu's mother who styled in the signature Korean ajumma look and Hoony dressed in the cute student look with two hair ties sided - cameo as the model for Mino's painting.

WINNER brought the audience to a climax when the hit songs 'Love Me Love Me", "Island", "Really Really" and "La La" were played. The crowd immediately jumped to their feet - singing and dancing along with the boys. What made the night more special was the LED rose fan project. Closer to the end of the concert, INNER CIRCLE was seen lighting up the LED roses and this special fan project even caught MINO's attention and brought the members to teary-eyed. (ps: thumbs up to the fan project!)

Before bidding goodbye, each member gave their final speeches by thanking INNER CIRCLEs for the support and Yoon's speech lifted our hearts "A singer will not exist if no one listens to their music. So we will not be here without you." This simple message brought almost every audience to tears! (ps: 역시 우리 리더님ㅠㅠ) WINNER ended the night with encore stage "Don't Flirt", "Luxury", "Really Really" and "Everyday (remix)", leaving the crowd all excited and satisfied. 

WINNER's impressive live performances and powerful vocals come into a package which we think it's more than enough to pacify fans who have waited for them for such a long period of time. Throughout the concert, we feel connected to the artist, to the music, and to one another. The spontaneous performance prepared by the members made Malaysia stop a little special and we truly in love with WINNER's rendition of "Aku Cinta Pada Mu". > <

Thanks to WINNER, our day filled with laughter, touching moments, great music and best performances. Although it's been a week, but we bet the great memories will last forever right? Hope WINNER will return soon with new album or even an encore concert. (ps: agree with us right? ><)
