The wait is over! Netflix’s first ever K-sitcom, ‘So Not Worth It’ will be available on 18 June 2021! The 12-episode sitcom, starring Park Se-wan, Shin Hyeon-seung, Choi Young-Jae, Minnie of (G)-IDLE, Han Hyun-min. Joakim Soresen, Carson Allen and Terris Brown, ‘So Not Worth It’ will depict the chaotic, bittersweet life of college students living in an international dorm.

Present at the virtual press conference today was Park Se-wan, Shin Hyeon-seung, Choi Young-Jae, Han Hyun-min. Joakim Soresen, Carson Allen and Terris Brown,  together with Directors Kwon Ik-Joon and Kim Jung-Sik. Although Minnie was not able to attend the press conference physically as she is in Thailand, she sent videos over prior to the event! The cast and directors of ‘So Not Worth It’ shared about what viewers can expect for the K-sitcom ahead of its release.

Back in 2015, Jang Ki Yong and Hyeri starred together in drama Schoolgirl Detectives as supporting roles but this time they are reuniting for tvN's ongoing drama 'My Roommate is A Gumiho' as the main lead. Based on a popular website, My Roommate is A Gumiho' tells story of a 22-year-old university student Lee Dam who ends up living with a 999-year-old male nine tailed fox named Shin Woo Yeo.

Upcoming Netflix series Nevertheless is set to heat up your weekends with a flirty romance. Based on a popular webtoon of the same name and starring rising actors Song Kang of Sweet Home and Han So-hee of The World of the Married, Nevertheless is a heart-fluttering romance you don’t want to miss out on.

With her first love ending disastrously, Yu Na-bi (Han So-hee) doesn’t believe in love but still wants to date. On the other hand, Park Jae-eon (Song Kang) enjoys flirting with many women but doesn’t want to date exclusively. Despite their differences, the young art students find themselves attracted to each other and embark on a sweet and sexy romance.

While their romance is enticing, the two are aware that nothing good may come from it. Nevertheless, they can’t help being drawn to each other.

The second season of Hospital Playlist is coming soon and we couldn’t be happier. 1. Upgraded Band Skills

The first season blessed us with the band performing a lot of ‘90s music and the actors playing their instruments themselves. Kim Dae-myeung shared, “With the new season, we’ve improved a lot.” Yoo Yeon-seok added, “In the past season, there were some songs that took us three months to learn and most songs took at least a month. With the new season, there were songs where we would practice a week after. We were all surprised that we could pull it off.” The cast further revealed that viewers can look forward to seeing them perform more difficult songs.

2. Elevated Chemistry

The friendship chemistry between the main characters was so natural and realistic in the first season. However, the actors revealed that their chemistry in the new season will be even better with the actors getting closer. Jeon Mi-do said, “When we couldn’t meet off-line, we met on-line via chat rooms and video calls.” Cho Jung-seok explained, “It’s almost like we don’t even need words to communicate. That’s how close we’ve become.” Furthermore, Jung Kyung-ho said, “Viewers can look forward to a stronger chemistry and a truer friendship between the characters.”

3. More Heartwarming Stories

One of the best facets of Hospital Playlist is how heartwarming and relatable it is. Full of heartfelt stories about everyone in the hospital from doctors to patients, you may have shed a tear or two. Director Shin Won-ho said, “It’s always important to stick to the essence of what a series is about. Rather than bringing in new things, we wanted to deepen what we had in the first season.” Jeon Mi-do also stated, “I think you can look forward to the different stories of individual patients that will be heart-warming and tear-jerking.” We can definitely expect more empathetic stories that will move our hearts.

4. Changes in Relationships

The first season ended with many cliffhangers for each of the main characters. Cho Jung-seok said, “Viewers can look forward to changes in the relationships between characters.” He pointed out Ik-sun and Jun-wan’s relationship, Min-ha’s feelings for Seok-hyung, and even Wu-ju and Mo-ne. In addition to these pairings, we can await potential changes for Jeong-won and Gyeo-ul as well as Ik-jun and Song-hwa. With a year having passed, there will be many changes to anticipate.

5. New & Familiar Characters

With the characters being so well developed, they often feel like our own friends. The actors admitted feeling a sense of familiarity and finding themselves becoming more like their characters. Jeon Mi-do mentioned being thankful for various nicknames like Song-hwa and Jun-wan being called big eaters. Director Shin Won-ho also admitted that there will be special appearances and new characters in the upcoming season. With new and familiar faces, there’ll be a lot of characters to enjoy.

The Joy Ruckus Club has put together a one-day K-Pop music festival for K-Pop fans worldwide.

“Joy Ruckus Club K-Pop SuperFest is a gathering of some of the brightest superstars in K-Pop music for a global audience. Organized from Los Angeles, but filmed at the renowned Yes24 Live Hall in Seoul, this virtual festival will spotlight K-Pop as the most influential music genre outside of the West.” -Kublai Kwon

South Korean Rapper, Singer-Songwriter, and Record Producer, B.I, dropped his first full-length album as a solo artist, WATERFALL, on Tuesday. As of 2 June, B.I’s title track “illa illa” set a new record as the most viewed k-pop male soloist debut music video in the first 24 hours. It also surpassed 10 Million views within 22 hours, becoming the fastest k-pop male soloist debut video to hit the milestone.
Upon release, the album skyrocketed to the #2 spot on the iTunes Hip-Hop/Rap Album chart, right under DMX, and stayed there for the first 48 hours. It's now currently sitting at #3, and peaked at #1 in over 20 countries. “illa illa,” most simply put, is about hope. B.I elaborates; “I wrote the song wishing that it could provide comfort to those that listen to it. Everyone has their own struggles whether it be with relationships, work, family, loneliness. As much as it can seem difficult at the time, there is a beach in the distance. To remember that every chapter that closes just means that a new chapter is about to begin.”



WATERFALL comes fresh off the release of “Got It Like That,” a collaboration with Destiny Rogers and Tyla Yaweh. This fuse of cultures and genres did not go unnoticed, with AV Club, stating “The Stereotypes, the team that produced the track, has a lofty resumé [...] so in joining forces with someone with as unerring a knack for hooks as B.I., it was basically impossible for this song to not be an absolute banger. Guest Destiny Rogers’ light and dreamy vocals pair smoothly with fellow visitor Tyla Yaweh’s energetic ad libs; by the time the powerhouse rapper enters with his melodic flow and boastful lyrics, it’s hard not to believe in the power of an impeccably produced pop track.”

Consisting of 12 tracks, B.I’s ‘1st Full Album [WATERFALL]’ is a story of his musical journey and appreciation for all the people who have helped and supported him along the way. Water in many literary works represents the flow of life, and each track on this album is meant to take its listener on a journey together from the waterfall to the vast seaside. “The waterfall that begins with falling down, That’s me”; a lyric that stood out and impressed viewers around the world during B.I’s appearance on South Korea’s Rap Competition, Show Me The Money in 2014, is now coming back full circle as a lyric on track 01. “WATERFALL.” 7 years later, after his debut, B.I is breaking into the scene with his first album, WATERFALL, knowing well the difficulties and challenges of walking down the path of one’s passion. This album is symbolically referencing the idea that the only way is up when people fall down.

Another stand out track on this album, “Daydream,” features K-Pop powerhouse Lee Hi, and marks their second collaboration. “I wrote this song as a reminder of the dreams I used to have and feel. The feeling of waking up from a deep sleep and a sweet dream that seemed so real, covering up a cloudy and unfamiliar universe where I felt lost. Watching beautiful stars fall from the sky daily is how quickly a beautiful daydream can pass.” The album closes out with the track “Re-birth,” a message to himself and listeners that every new road must start at the beginning.
