IVE Goes Full ‘Girl Hero’ Ahead of Looks Can Kill

IVE is taking its next era into superhero territory.

The group, featuring ANYUJIN, GAEUL, REI, JANGWONYOUNG, LIZ and LEESEO, has unveiled a new teaser for their upcoming mini album Looks Can Kill, building anticipation with a playful, movie-inspired concept.

Released through IVE’s official social media on Oct. 6, the “POST CREDIT SCENE : GIRL HERO” video opens like the credits of a superhero film, introducing each member with her own hero identity. JANGWONYOUNG appears as “Bat Pink,” LEESEO as “Spider Red,” REI as “Jean Yellow,” GAEUL as “Wonder Green,” LIZ as “Super Blue” and ANYUJIN as “Captain Purple.”

The video then takes a playful turn when JANGWONYOUNG speaks directly to fans about the teaser schedule before pointing to herself and saying, “Not this, me,” adding a comedic touch to the cinematic setup.

The story continues with the members gathered on a filming set. When ANYUJIN arrives with a cookie, the members ask what it is, prompting her to reply, “This? A post-credit scene.” She then announces that she has to move to the next filming location and literally takes off into the sky with the cookie.

From there, ANYUJIN travels across the city, desert and snow-covered mountains before landing at the Hero IVE Training Center. The IVE logo appears at the end, completing the teaser with another movie-like moment.

The new content continues IVE’s series of hero-themed teasers for Looks Can Kill, with the members appearing across different locations and unpredictable situations. The playful storytelling has also left fans wondering what the group will reveal next.

The title track “Looks Can Kill” will be released ahead of the album on Oct. 19, followed by the full mini album on Oct. 26. The project introduces IVE’s new “Girl Hero” storyline, with the tracklist also revealing participation from top Korean and international contributors, alongside songwriting contributions from GAEUL, REI and LIZ.
