Crashing hearts, raising temperatures, and wrapping up his Asia Tour with a bow. Jay B gave Kuala Lumpur a night we’ll never forget.

When Jay B finally stepped onto the Kuala Lumpur stage for his very first solo concert here, it felt like time stood still. For Ahgase, it wasn’t just a show, it was a long-awaited reunion, a love letter sealed with every note, every smile, and every beat from [TAPE:RE LOAD]. And boy, did Jay B deliver.

From the moment he appeared in his denim jacket, white tee, and jeans looking cool, casual, and charismatic. He owned the stage and our hearts. Opening by standing tall with just him and a mic stand with “PRESENT” filled the crowd with much love before continuing with some of fan-favourites like “B.T.W,” “Fame,” “Livin’,” and “The Way We Are,” Jay B wasted no time reminding us just why he’s GOT7’s beloved leader and a soloist of his own kind. His vocals were smooth, his stage presence magnetic, and the crowd? Already in awe.

Introducing himself proudly as “GOT7’s Jay B,” it didn’t take much more than that for ahgase to go frenzy. Just hearing "GOT7" stirred waves of emotions. Nostalgia, pride, and longing all in one breath. Ahgase hearts? Tucked safely in his hands.

Things heated up (literally and emotionally) with tracks like “If You,” “Chosen,” “Make Me Right,” and “Take It Easy.” The sensual charm, the playful dance moves, the effortless falsettos. It was exactly the Jay B we’ve missed seeing live.

A quick outfit change later, and he was back dressed in black, leather jacket on, ready to “Crash” right into our souls. Before continuing with ‘Switch It Up’ and “Preview” showing how of a versatile artiste he has grown into over the years. The energy shifted when he cheekily teased the audience to vote between “Crash” and “Preview”. Let’s just say, it turned into the most adorable debate. Fans unintentionally screamed louder for “Preview,” and though Jay B jokingly pouted at the loss, he sweetly accepted our choice, saying, “There’s no turning back.” (Jay B-shi, we promise, we love all your songs!

Then came the moment we all secretly waited for the official sexy (minus aegyo) segment. Jay B emerged in an outfit that revealed partial of his rib and a glimpse of his abs (yes, we saw, and no, we’re not okay). With “Into You,” and “AM PM” he had the crowd wrapped around his finger. Hearing him playfully ask if fans were “legal” before joking that he’d be careful as there’s boundaries. Funny, respectful, and dangerously charming.

Even amidst the sultry performances, Jay B’s warm connection with the crowd never wavered. Whether switching between Korean and English while speaking, teasing us when we requested “rewind” of the setlist to be repeated (we do not want the evening to end), or finding a new tease by goofing with thumbs up “GOOD,” he showed just how much he truly enjoyed being with fans. His joy was infectious. We laughed, screamed, and gave that “GOOD” “Right Back” every time while he perform.

Things took a sentimental turn as he performed a song from Jus2, a sub-group pairing of him and Yugyeom track “Sigh”. A soft reminder of GOT7’s presence and perhaps, a hopeful whisper that we’ll see the full group here again someday.

Jay B’s artistry truly shined through songs from his latest album Archive 1: [Road Runner], his first full-length release since completing military service. Tracks like “Inside” and “Cloud Nine” showed his evolution not just as a performer but as a storyteller. He poured his soul into those lyrics, and we felt it. As the night neared its end, Jay B shared that Kuala Lumpur is his the final stop of his Asia Tour. Fans protested loudly wishing time could slow down. He joked that he had to go back as there’s something big happening right after tonight. (Yes, Jay B, we know and we’re cheering for GOT7.)

He fondly recalled a hilarious memory Jinyoung still remembers from the early days of JJ Project. A Malaysian fan startled them by suddenly yelling, “I’m from Malaysia!” The moment left such a lasting impression that they still laugh about it today. It was a sweet full-circle moment, reminding us of the deep, enduring bond between Ahgase and GOT7.

Then came the encore, Jay B stepped out in a Baju Melayu top, sunglasses on, casual jeans and stole our hearts all over again with “Go Up.” The crowd went wild. He continued with a high-energy remix medley of “Fame,” “Take It Easy,” and “B.T.W” and we (including Jay B) lost it when his dancers surprised him dressed as Teletubbies. Even Jay B couldn't stop laughing!

And just when we thought it was over, he dropped a rock version of “Crash,” then dove into GOT7’s classics “Teenager” and “Page.” Nostalgia flooded the room, sealing the night with unity, love, longing and lots and lots of fun and party vibe.

Concluding the evening with “Before The Full Moon Rises,” Jay B closed the show not with a goodbye, but a promise, a promise that this present, this night, this love between him and fans will stay with us until we meet again.

Terima Kasih, Jay B for choosing Kuala Lumpur. For choosing us.

Shout out and thank you Line Up Entertainment and Stormex Entertainment for making this dream night a reality.
