MTV today announced Grammy-nominated group BTS is set to perform a special edition of its trailblazing and award-winning MTV Unplugged franchise, “MTV Unplugged Presents: BTS.” The worldwide music event will build off the iconic series with a fresh new take, airing in Asia on Wednesday, February 24 exclusively on MTV. In Singapore and Malaysia, fans can catch the special premiere at 10am, with a same-day primetime encore at 8.20pm.

BTS will bring its own iteration of the iconic Unplugged format to life straight from Seoul, South Korea - offering their fans a front-row seat to never-before-seen versions of the group’s most career-defining hits and songs from their latest album BE (Essential Edition), in intimate settings. BE, first released as the Deluxe Edition last November, peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. The album includes the No.1 hit singles “Dynamite” and “Life Goes On”.

Together, MTV and BTS have created some unforgettable moments and performances, including the group’s debut on the VMAs stage in August, where they performed the first broadcast performance of “Dynamite,” before racking up wins for Best Pop, Best Group, Best Kpop and Best Choreography to bring their career total to six VMA wins. The group also celebrated their first-ever live appearance on MTV’s Fresh Out Live in February 2020 for the release of MAP OF THE SOUL: 7.

Last Fall, Miley Cyrus put her own spin on the series’ traditional format with MTV Unplugged Presents “Miley Cyrus Backyard Sessions.” In Spring 2020, MTV launched “MTV Unplugged at Home” to coincide with the launch of #AloneTogether, global talent and social media-driven campaign to educate young people on the importance of social distancing in order to flatten the curve of the coronavirus. BTS, an acronym of Bangtan Sonyeondan or “Beyond the Scene,” is a South Korean boyband that has been capturing the hearts of millions of fans globally since their debut in June 2013. The members of BTS are RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook. Gaining recognition for their authentic and self-produced music, top-notch performances, and the way they interact with their fans, the band has established themselves as global superstars breaking countless world records. Song Joong Ki, Jeon Yeo-Bin and Taecyeon Talks About 1st Impression With Vincenzo Co-Stars

Netflix upcoming star-studded Korean drama series 'Vincenzo' starring Song Joong Ki, Jeon Yeo-bin and 2PM's Taecyeon is set to premiere on 20 February, 10PM on Netflix.

Vincenzo tells the tale of Vincenzo Cassano (starring Song Joong Ki) who works as a lawyer to an Italian mafia. He ends up going to Korea and utilizes villainous tactics to take down villains. In Korea, he gets involved with lawyer Hong Cha-Young (starring Jeon Yeo-Bin) and the lawyer intern Jang Joon Woo (starring Taecyeon). Together, they join forces to fight against the nefarious Babel Group.

Today the cast sat down with the media and talked about their first impression with one another through drama Vincenzo.

"I think both of them are perfect fits for the characters. When I met them for the very first time, I felt like they were the people who I could really work together with and able to create great synergy and to cheer on each other," said Song Joong Ki.

Jeon Yeo-Bin then added "I worked with Taecyeon on 'Save Me' previously. I felt that he is a warm-hearted person who is very considerate to others. I made a mistake while filming, but he said it was okay and made me feel comfortable." She continues "Song Joong-Ki was one of my favourite actors while I was in school so it was really amazing to hear that I would be working alongside with him. He is the person who pays attention to every single details." "I think we have great chemistry together and I feel extremely grateful being able to work with both of them."

Taecyeon continues to praise his co-star "When I first met Song Joong Ki, I felt like he's just like the character Vincenzo. Perfect and neat. I could not help myself but being jealous of him. Not only serving a perfect image but also able to bring laughter on set. I'm really jealous of him being so perfect." "Me and Yeonbin spent a lot of time to practice and every time I'm amazed to see how determined and passionate she is. I think she really brought the characters to life."

It's been a year since Taecyeon last drama appearance, so when being asked how he filled up his free time, Taecyeon said, "In between I filmed a historical movie called 'Hansan'. I am working hard and hopefully this year I am able to show more projects to my fans and the audiences."

Can't wait to watch Vincenzo on Netflix on 20 February, 10PM.
