Global Teen Favourites, TXT Unveils 'Blue Hour' Japenese version

Global teen favourites TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s latest EP minisode1 : Blue Hour achieved sales of over 470,000 copies last year. This set a new self-record and achieved No.1 on the iTunes Top Album Chart across 30 countries/regions around the world. Following the group’s 2nd EP The Dream Chapter: ETERNITY released last May, the album achieved 1st place on the Oricon weekly album ranking. They also achieved No.25 on the Billboard 200 chart,” a new self record, and placed 7th on the US Billboard year-end chart “Social 50 Artists”. Soon to celebrate their third anniversary as a group, TOMORROW X TOGETHER continues to grow at an unstoppable momentum.

TOMORROW X TOGETHER releases their first Japanese Studio Album STILL DREAMING today. This long-awaited album bears the message that those who are running through youth toward the same dream are “still dreaming.” Motoki Ohmori of Mrs. GREEN APPLE wrote the new Japanese original track “Force,” which is the Opening theme for TV Animation 『World Trigger』 2nd Season. Released January 10, The song has recorded No.1 on the daily chart of LINE MUSIC song Top 100 (as of Jan.10 through Jan.16) and also hit No.1 on Yahoo! Japan’s real-time search.

The music video centers around a “deserted amusement park.” Symbolizing fragility and loneliness, the old amusement park is where TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s imaginations turn into reality. 5:53 is a metaphor expressing the moment of transition from boyhood to adulthood. The first and second verses represent "childhood" as the last chorus represents "adulthood."

TOMORROW X TOGETHER, who made their debut in March 2019, swept the rookies awards ceremonies, winning a total of ten rookie awards as well as a 2019 MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Awards) main award proving that they are the next big thing. In addition, this year they won “FAVORITE DANCE PERFORMANCE GROUP” and “WORLDWIDE FAN’S CHOICE” at 2020 MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Awards), “Best Performer” at 2020 TMA (2020 THE FACT MUSIC AWARDS), and “Album Division” at The 35th Golden Disc Awards with CURAROX. Seollal or the Korean Lunar New Year is the most celebrated holiday in Korea. It follows the Lunar schedule and it's celebrated in similar ways to the Chinese New Year. Most people travel back home to visit their relatives, spend time with their family members and to pay respect to their ancestors and feast. It was also believed that celebrating the Lunar New Year would attract good luck and chase the bad and evil spirits away. Although both festivals share similarities but when comes to food, these are the differences:

i. Tteokguk (Rice Cake Soup)

Tteokguk carries special significance during Seollal. It represents health and symbolise rich and prosperity. By having Tteokguk also means growing another year older and have a new beginning for the New Year. ii, Japchae (Glass Noodle)

Japchae is made with glass noodles and various vegetables. It's one of the most iconic Korean food that often served as a side dish or mixed with a main dish. iii. Jeon (Pancake)

It's a traditional must-eat New Year dish in Korea. There are many types of Jeon but during Seollal, these are the popular ones that you should try - Kimchi Jeon, Saengseon Jeon (seafood pancake), and Hobak Jeon (Pan fried Zucchini).

● Inside K-Pop joins a line-up of other Online Experiences where musical performances from around the world and Korean culture take centre stage

Airbnb is lifting the veil on the explosive Korean pop music industry with an unprecedented look behind the scenes of K-Pop. Hosted by chart-topping idols Monsta X, and in partnership with Warner Music Korea, Airbnb’s Inside K-Pop will provide Malaysians with a backstage pass to a musical genre that has taken the world by storm. The collection is supported by Airbnb hosts who offer a range of musical experiences from around the world and an inside perspective on Korean food, fashion and culture, in addition to music-themed hosts of homes that can inspire future travel.

Inside K-Pop will run from January 25-30 2021 MYT, featuring 14 unique Online Experiences offered in either English, Korean, Chinese or Japanese. From dance rehearsals to vocal practice, makeup tutorials to photoshoot tips, Malaysians can keep themselves busy during the Movement Control Order (MCO) by experiencing first-hand the rigorous training of a K-Pop star. Some Online Experiences will give guests a rare glimpse into the daily rhythms and rituals of K-Pop proteges when not on the road, including making beaded bracelets as a way to relax and unwind, and chatting with stars as they mukbang (eat in front of an audience) Korean convenience store food, a rare treat. All Online Experiences will be priced at $20 each and will be available for booking from January 21 at 7 AM MYT on a first come-first served basis at www.airbnb.com/insidekpop.

At a time when concerts all around the world have been cancelled and music venues remain shuttered for the foreseeable future, Inside K-Pop will transport Malaysians to the streets of Seoul, K-Pop’s epicentre. The program features:

● Monsta X mukbang - Hang with the boys as they chow down on their favourite Korean convenience store food to refuel after busy days in training and on the road.

● Time to get crafty with The Boyz as they chill out at a Hanok (traditional Korean home) on Airbnb engaging in their newfound passion for making beaded bracelets as a way to de-stress (and a nice memento to give friends, family and fans).

● Join Jamie as she illustrates her daily make-up routine and tips for creating the perfect off-stage look.

● Get photo fabulous with Handong from Dreamcatcher as she takes you behind the scenes of a K-Pop photoshoot at a chic listing in Seoul. Learn poses, gestures and expressions that bring out your inner pop star.

● Share AleXa’s passion for dance with an immersive experience that takes you through the dance journey of a K-Pop star. Learn her famous moves and come prepared to shake your booty.

● Prolific singer-songwriter Nive invites you to an intimate concert and storytelling session where he discusses his journey writing for some of K-Pop’s biggest stars.

● Learn the art and magic of putting your best face forward in photographs with avid photographer and former U-KISS band member Kevin Woo.

● Make your own gungjung tteokbokki (savoury rice cakes from Korean royal courts) with rising star boy band Cravity.

● Join some of K-Pop’s most well-known dance crews BB Trippin and Freemind as they lead a choreography session, showing you the major moves of star performers.

● Learn the art of hairstyling for the stage and how to maintain your tresses with hair and make-up artists to the stars ALUU (hair and make-up) and Joy 187 (hair and make-up).
