The double digital celebration of 6.6 felt extra special this year as Malaysian fans were finally reunited with PARK JI HOON after eight long years. Held at the KLCC Plenary Hall on 6 June, the 2026 PARK JI HOON ASIA FAN CON 'RE:FLECT' IN KUALA LUMPUR marked Jihoon's long-awaited return to Malaysia — and this time, it was all about him as a solo artist. The evening kicked off with a powerful opening sequence as Jihoon took the stage with "Blank Effect", followed by "Serious" and "GOTCHA", instantly igniting excitement throughout the venue. Dressed in style and overflowing with charisma, Jihoon greeted fans warmly in Bahasa Malaysia, saying, "Saya sangat gembira dapat jumpa semua hari ini" ("I'm very happy to see everyone here today"), drawing loud cheers from the crowd.
The fan-con then shifted into an interactive segment where Jihoon transformed into "Prince Jihoon" while his beloved fandom, MAY, became princesses awaiting rescue. The prince had to complete various missions to save his fans, leading to plenty of memorable and heartwarming moments.
One of the highlights came during the aegyo mission, where Jihoon recreated his iconic catchphrase, "내 마음속에 저장" ("Save in my heart"). Years may have passed, but the legendary phrase still had the same effect, sending fans into a frenzy as they happily "saved" Jihoon's heart in their own hearts once again.
In fact, Jihoon's endless stream of adorable expressions and natural charm became a running theme throughout the entire fan-con. Whether it was his playful reactions, sweet interactions, or spontaneous fan service, he continuously melted hearts across the hall. Adding to the excitement, lucky fans also walked away with exclusive polaroids personally prepared by Jihoon.
Following the fan interaction segment, the venue transformed into Jihoon's very own music party. Showcasing his growth as a solo artist, Jihoon delivered a series of energetic and captivating performances, starting with his latest tracks "Body Else", "Watercolour", "Nitro", and "Matador". The energy only intensified as he continued with "360", "Dawn Moon", and "I Can't Hold Your Hand Anymore", keeping fans on their feet and singing along throughout the night.
The passionate response from Malaysian MAY clearly touched Jihoon. Moved by the deafening cheers and warm welcome, he shared, "The process of coming from Korea to Malaysia just makes me feel so happy. Thank you everyone for the warm welcome."
As the fan-con approached its finale, Jihoon performed "I Wonder" and "MayDay", creating an emotional atmosphere inside the hall. However, he wasn't quite ready to say goodbye. As a special gift to his fans, Jihoon performed "MayDay" once more, dedicating the meaningful song to MAY and turning the moment into one of the night's most unforgettable memories.
Yet the experience didn't end when the lights went down. Fans were treated to a Hi-Bye session, allowing each attendee a brief but precious interaction with Jihoon. Watching him sincerely greet every fan with warmth and gratitude showcased the genuine affection he has for the people who have supported him throughout his journey.
Over the past few years, Jihoon has earned widespread recognition as an actor through his successful dramas and films, impressing audiences with his acting abilities. For a brief moment, many may have forgotten that Jihoon first captured hearts as a singer. But throughout 'RE:FLECT', he reminded everyone exactly why he is one of the industry's most versatile performers — seamlessly combining strong vocals, powerful dance performances, captivating stage presence, and remarkable acting talent.
As Malaysian MAY bid farewell to Jihoon after a night filled with laughter, music, and heartfelt memories, one thing became certain: the wait was worth every second. With his military enlistment on the horizon, fans can only hope that this won't be another eight-year wait before they welcome PARK JI HOON back to Malaysia once again.
