● Six-day festival showcases major artists, stars in training and a host of creative talent who sit in the K-Pop music ecosystem

● Inside K-Pop joins a line-up of other Online Experiences where musical performances from around the world and Korean culture take centre stage

Airbnb is lifting the veil on the explosive Korean pop music industry with an unprecedented look behind the scenes of K-Pop. Hosted by chart-topping idols Monsta X, and in partnership with Warner Music Korea, Airbnb’s Inside K-Pop will provide Malaysians with a backstage pass to a musical genre that has taken the world by storm. The collection is supported by Airbnb hosts who offer a range of musical experiences from around the world and an inside perspective on Korean food, fashion and culture, in addition to music-themed hosts of homes that can inspire future travel.

Inside K-Pop will run from January 25-30 2021 MYT, featuring 14 unique Online Experiences offered in either English, Korean, Chinese or Japanese. From dance rehearsals to vocal practice, makeup tutorials to photoshoot tips, Malaysians can keep themselves busy during the Movement Control Order (MCO) by experiencing first-hand the rigorous training of a K-Pop star. Some Online Experiences will give guests a rare glimpse into the daily rhythms and rituals of K-Pop proteges when not on the road, including making beaded bracelets as a way to relax and unwind, and chatting with stars as they mukbang (eat in front of an audience) Korean convenience store food, a rare treat. All Online Experiences will be priced at $20 each and will be available for booking from January 21 at 7 AM MYT on a first come-first served basis at www.airbnb.com/insidekpop.

At a time when concerts all around the world have been cancelled and music venues remain shuttered for the foreseeable future, Inside K-Pop will transport Malaysians to the streets of Seoul, K-Pop’s epicentre. The program features:

● Monsta X mukbang - Hang with the boys as they chow down on their favourite Korean convenience store food to refuel after busy days in training and on the road.

● Time to get crafty with The Boyz as they chill out at a Hanok (traditional Korean home) on Airbnb engaging in their newfound passion for making beaded bracelets as a way to de-stress (and a nice memento to give friends, family and fans).

● Join Jamie as she illustrates her daily make-up routine and tips for creating the perfect off-stage look.

● Get photo fabulous with Handong from Dreamcatcher as she takes you behind the scenes of a K-Pop photoshoot at a chic listing in Seoul. Learn poses, gestures and expressions that bring out your inner pop star.

● Share AleXa’s passion for dance with an immersive experience that takes you through the dance journey of a K-Pop star. Learn her famous moves and come prepared to shake your booty.

● Prolific singer-songwriter Nive invites you to an intimate concert and storytelling session where he discusses his journey writing for some of K-Pop’s biggest stars.

● Learn the art and magic of putting your best face forward in photographs with avid photographer and former U-KISS band member Kevin Woo.

● Make your own gungjung tteokbokki (savoury rice cakes from Korean royal courts) with rising star boy band Cravity.

● Join some of K-Pop’s most well-known dance crews BB Trippin and Freemind as they lead a choreography session, showing you the major moves of star performers.

● Learn the art of hairstyling for the stage and how to maintain your tresses with hair and make-up artists to the stars ALUU (hair and make-up) and Joy 187 (hair and make-up).

IN2IT, DREAMCATCHER & AleXa Teach You How to Stay Safe Amidst COVID-19 Pandemic

IN2IT, DREAMCATCHER and soloist AleXa teamed up for Millenasia Project and released 'Be The Future' music video. This collaboration is brought to you by Millenasia in partnership with Varkey Founder, a member of UNESCO's Global Education Coalition that focuses on improving education across the world.

The music video provides tips on staying safe at the same time inspiring students to keep up their studies despite being affected by COVID-19 pandemic.

IN2IT's YeonTae said "My third-grade teacher taught me that at the very least we should all try to make a difference with our lives. Now that we are suffering by COVID-19, I can make a difference by staying at home and caring for my parents. I hope young people everywhere are able to withstand these difficult times and make a conscious choice to protect their friends and family by following prevention rules."

Dreamcatcher's SuA said: "These are difficult times, but I hope everyone will keep their spirits up and I hope our energy in the music video will give you strength."

AleXa said "Being able to collaborate with such amazing seniors like Dreamcatcher and IN2IT made this project super fun! We strongly hope that this song and its message of health catches young people’s attention and helps encourage safety standards, globally."

Malaysian InSomnias’ dreams finally came true as DREAMCATCHER staged a fiery showcase for the first time ever at KL Live on 6^th September 2019.

DREAMCATCHER consists of Jiu, Yoohyeon, Siyeon, SuA, Dami, Gahyeon and Handong – what sets these girls apart from the rest is their blend of K-pop and punk-rock elements – aggressive guitar riffs, earth-shaking drum beats, accompanied with powerful yet elegant dance routines.

The show started off with a strong performance of ‘Fly High’ and their debut title track ‘Chase Me’. The girls’ stage presence was so lively and full of energy – so contagious that it made the crowd super hyped during their performances.

Afterwards, the girls briefly introduced themselves and expressed their excitement that they were thankful to have the opportunity to perform tonight as Malaysian InSomnias have anticipated for them for a long time. Fans could not help but to coo over their cuteness when they chanted out ‘Apa Khabar’ (How Are You?) to greet the crowd!

After the short introductory ment, the girls resumed the show with much more mellower songs, including ‘Emotion’ and ‘Which A Star’. They took this opportunity to show how versatile they are with their performances, smoothly transitioning from heavy metal to soft ballads, serenading the crowd with their clear stable vocals.

One of the highlights of the night was when the girls performed a dance cover medley of K-pop boy groups, including BTS ‘Boy With Luv’, ATEEZ ‘Hala Hala’, NCT127's ‘Simon Says’, EXO's 'Love Shot' and even Monsta X ‘Alligator'! Fans were so impressed at how they can suddenly change from their bright cutesy aura to more charismatic side of them.

Soon it was separated into sub-units when SuA and Siyeon took the stage first with a cover of Taemin’s Goodbye. Followed up with the rest of the members, Dami, Gahyeon, Jiu, Handong and Yoohyeon did a special cover of Twice’s TT and Red Velvet’s Bad Boy!

It was refreshing to see the members were so full of energy - they put so much effort to engage with the fans, giving in requests to express their "aegyo" (cuteness) to fans, making sure there was never a dull moment between the girls and the fans. We also could not forget when the girls even learned to how to speak Malaysian words from a fan! They said “Saya Cinta Kamu” (I Love You)!

Dreamcatcher also performed their hit songs including 'You And I', 'Piri' and 'Full Moon'. The girls mentioned that they were so worried before coming on stage - however, their expectations have exceeded when the fans gave such good reactions and energy to their performances. *We can't help but to dance too!

To wrap it all up, the girls ended off the show with encore of ‘Wake Up' and 'Mayday’.

South Korea’s popular young metal group DREAMCATCHER will make a stop in Singapore this March as part of their long-awaited Southeast Asia tour. In response to requests on fan-initiated concert making platform MyMusicTaste, DREAMCATCHER will visit three cities across Southeast Asia, visiting Jakarta on 20 March, then to Singapore on March 22, lastly to Manila on 24 March.
