Park Eunbin shares that Malaysia was added to her Asia Fan Meeting tour at the last minute as they were many fans that requested for her to come visit beautiful Malaysia. She feels really glad to be able to visit Malaysia and being Christmas Eve itself made it more meaningful. "It's my first time spending Christmas in such a warm country", she cheekily added. Park Eunbin told fans the meaning behind her fanmeeting tour name 'BINKAN'is that Bin from Binkan and her name refers to shining space and together 'Binkan' is her wish to light up the space and fill everyone with sparkles and happiness.

To continue the evening, Park Eunbin read a few fan note and lucky fan whose note was selected received a mysterious gift after. Park Eunbin went for a quick chage of dress while fans got to enjoy clips of Park Eunbin in her characters from the most recent - Extraordinary Attorney Woo , The King's Affection ,Do You Like Brahms?, Hot Stove League and Hello, My Twenties! After the video concluded, Park Eunbin reappeared on stage dress in Christmas theme singing ‘Blue Night of Jeju Island’. Malaysian fans has also prepared a surprise for her, lighting the hall with blue lights and holding a banner. Adding more surprise for Park Eunbin, fans had prepared a video and a cake for her. Park Eunbin was extremely touch by the gesture and efforts that fans had put in for her. The evening continues with Park Eunbin sharing her best memories as an actess with her most memorable character as Woo Young-woo and like the character she hopes that herself and everyone has the spirit of keep trying and be brave to face challenges like Woo Young-woo. Before ending fans and Park Eunbin have to say goodbye to each other, the multi talented artist sang 'Glittery' and 'We Wish You A Merry Christmas' marking a great Christmas Eve spent together. Park Eun Bin touched by her passionate fans in Singapore

Global Extraordinary Attorney Woo star, Park Eun Bin visited Singapore for her first fanmeeting EUNBIN NOTE: BINKAN. The fanmeeting was held at Capitol Theatre on 11 November 2022. The event was certainly an extremely memorable one for her fans.

Park Eunbin opened the fanmeeting with a refreshing cover of Red Velvet Joy’s song remake ‘Hello’! The reason behind her song choice was that ‘Hello’ was a song that she listened a lot to during her school days and she wanted to greet Singapore fans ‘Hello’! 

Looking into the meaning of her fanmeeting name BINKAN, Park Eunbin shared that the Bin from Binkan and the Bin from her name, Eunbin, refers to shining space. By naming the fanmeeting BINKAN, she hopes that fans will light up the space with sparklingly Eunbin! 

The actress also delightful went on to share how she spent here time in Singapore.

In the next segment, fans give answers to Eunbin’s curiousity! The actress expressed how she is always interested to know how her international audience became her fans. "I'm always curious from which drama and character did they decided to support me from." the actress chimed. One response was the actress' irresistible smile! Don't we all agree?Heart warming and touching moments were also not left out! When shared that a fan has been supporting the actress since her drama from 2007, "The Legend", the sweet 30-year old actress stood up from her seat to personally extended her gratitude to her for growing up together with her!

Another question, was to only watch videos or only listen to music. Park Eunbin voiced that this was a breeze and did not hesitate any second to choose to only listen to music! "Music is my Life!" exclaimed the actress.

It was gift-making time when the actress showcased her artistic talent by designing tote bags for her fans! Her adorable designs included a rabbit, the animal that resembles her the most, two ducklings which she affirmed were friends, and lastly a whale design, the icon of her global hit drama Extraordinary Attorney Woo!

Next, as Park Eunbin went for an outfit switch, a VCR showed the actress having a witty interview with her respective characters from the dramas Hot Stove League, Hello My Twenties, The King’s Affection and Do you like the Brahms. Following that, the all-rounder actress went back on stage with the song ‘Blue Night of Jeju Island’.

The atmosphere was toned down when Park Eunbin sat down and shared her invaluable experiences and behind stories with her roles. We watched the iconic scenes from her hit dramas on the screen in awe and respect for the Acting Genius!

The experienced actress also revealed that she is able to hear the voices of her characters upon reading the script of the drama and she changes her voice according to different tones, from high tones, to her normal voice tone and even lower range tones.

All good things have to come to an end. The fanmeeting concluded with the actress showcasing her honey vocals with, The King’s Affection OST “If I”, originally sung by Baek Z Young.

In addition, to officially end the fanmeeting on a more special note, Park Eunbin even prepared a stage specially for Singapore fans! A song that we all sang in our childhood, ‘Singapura, Sunny Island’. It was definitely a pleasant surprise to hear this song during a fanmeeting!

Park Eun Bin: Even if the idea of a woman becoming king started from one’s imagination, I thought it was my responsibility as an actor to make the character believable. Rather than drawing a straight line between Hwi as a man and Hwi as a woman, I felt it was more important to make Hwi convincing as a person. So I’m trying not to pretend to be a guy, but to show how natural it was for Hwi to grow up as a man. I’m also trying to give off a genderless vibe. It’s very important for the narrative that no matter how hard she tries, she can’t hide her feminine qualities and that this leads to suspicion and danger. I hope that the audience will not focus on whether she’s a guy or a girl, but just naturally embrace ‘Hwi with this side to her, and also that side’. My hope is that me on-screen would really come across as ‘Hwi’ to the viewers.

Upcoming series The King's Affection tells the story of a twin sister who has to take her brother’s place as crown prince when he dies. Yi Hwi (Park Eun-bin) must hide her identity as well as her affection for her teacher Jung Ji-un (Rowoon). There’s plenty of romance and intrigue in store for us in this historical drama. Check out some reasons why you’re going to fall in love with the series here.

1) Unique Premise
The story of a female king has never been told in K-drama history. Park Eun-bin shared, “All of the kings we’ve had historically were males, so a female king can only exist in our imaginations.” She also commented, “I thought it was a unique role that would not come by often.” The King’s Affection will definitely feature some uncommon circumstances as Yi Hwi disguises herself as her twin brother and navigates keeping her true identity secret while acting as the crown prince.

2) Touching Romance
Hwi struggles from great isolation as she keeps her identity hidden. However, things change when she develops feelings for Ji-un. Rowoon explained how his character is very different from Yi Hwi and said, “Hwi has to hide herself, but Jung Ji-un has no reason to do that. Ji-un doesn’t need to hide his character, so that’s why he’s so appealing to Hwi. I think we are drawn to each other because the other person has something that they themselves don’t have.” Despite their affection for each other, they must be cautious due to Hwi’s great secret.

3) Beyond Romance
While their sweet romance is a large part of the story, there are many other elements to enjoy. Director Song Hyun-wook said, “There’s not only romance but also politics, action, and humor. It’s truly a myriad of various genres.” The palace is full of people vying for more power, and interesting dynamics will play out as individuals pursue their goals. We can also look forward to action and mystery, in particular involving Yi Hwi’s bodyguard Kim Ga-on (Choi Byung-chan). Furthermore, there are humorous and lighthearted moments to enjoy as well.

4) Beautiful Young Cast
The main cast is full of the hottest rising stars: Park Eun-bin, Rowoon, Nam Yoon-su, Choi Byung-chan, Bae Yoon-kyung, and Jung Chaeyeon. Director Song Hyun-wook praised them saying, “They’re really outstanding actors and actresses.” The director further complimented all of them and mentioned how tall, funny, and confident Rowoon is. He also talked about how Nam Yoon-su’s smile is extremely attractive. There’s definitely no shortage of gorgeousness to enjoy amongst the cast. And of course, they’re very talented on top of that!

5) Historical Setting
One of the best things about a historical drama is the fascinating visuals. From the extravagant palaces to the quaint villages, the locations will transport you to a whole new world. Director Song Hyun-wook added, “Korean historical architecture is also really beautiful, and we tried to include that in the series as well.” In addition to the sights, the exquisite hanbok fashion will be a delight to our eyes. Dignified royal robes and lovely, colorful dresses will contribute to the charm of the series.

Upcoming series The King's Affection tells the story of a forbidden romance between Yi Hwi (Park Eun-bin), who impersonates her late crown prince twin brother, and the crown prince’s tutor Jung Ji-un (Rowoon).
Yi Hwi hides the burdensome secret of her true identity, but must be strong as she plays the role of the crown prince. Initially cast aside for being a girl, she ends up impersonating her crown prince brother after he passes away. Behind her cold front, Yi Hwi suffers from loneliness and sadness. She finds herself attracted to her tutor Jung Ji-un, but cannot risk getting too close for fear of having her secret discovered. Jung Ji-un is also drawn to Yi Hwi and becomes confused about their relationship.

In the new poster, Yi Hwi is dressed as a princess and gazes into Jung Ji-un’s eyes. Jung Ji-un holds a royal robe around her as though he’s protecting her identity from being discovered. The affection they have for each other is palpable and hints at a heartfelt romance.

The teaser trailer shows Jung Ji-hun interacting with Yi Hwi who is dressed as the crown prince. He’s puzzled when he begins seeing a princess’ reflection in the mirror and the silhouette of a princess instead of a prince. He continues observing Yi Hwi and feels flustered when they get closer. It ends with Jung Ji-hun wondering about her identity.

The King’s Affection is directed by Song Hyunwook of Beauty Inside and Another Miss Oh, and written by Han Hee Jung of Clean with Passion for Now. The first episode will be released on 11 October with new episodes every Monday and Tuesday, only on Netflix!

Netflix has confirmed 11 October 2021 as the worldwide release date for new romance series The King’s Affection. A poignant palace romance starring Park Eun-bin and Rowoon awaits viewers this fall.
The King’s Affection tells the story of how the abandoned female twin of a crown prince ends up disguising herself as her brother who had passed away. The tale originates from a comic book series that was inspired by imaginations about a woman rising to the throne and having to disappear from history.

Disguised crown prince Yi Hwi (Park Eun-bin) and her teacher Jung Ji-un (Rowoon) become fatefully intertwined with one another. The heart-fluttering chemistry between the pair can be felt as we see their silhouettes facing each other in the poster, highlighting their height difference and alluding to their secret romance.

Hiding her true identity and carrying a burdensome secret under the weight of the large ceremonial robes, crown prince Yi Hwi’s world changes when she meets Jung Ji-un through her royal lectures. While hiding that she is a woman, she meets a pure man in the palace setting which can be a cut-throat yet romantic place. As their love and affection for each other blooms and their feelings deepen, they face a destiny that they cannot avoid.

The producers of The King’s Affection shared, “On set, Park Eun-bin and Rowoon brought the charming atmosphere and feelings of wistful yearning to life realistically. Please show a lot of interest and look forward to the imaginations of what it would have been like to have a king disappear into the mists of history and the inescapable fate of the two people which starts on 11 October.”
