Malaysian NCTzens’ dream finally came true as NCT DREAM successfully held their long-awaited The Dream Show 2 tour in Kuala Lumpur at Axiata Stadium on 20 May 2023 (Saturday), organized by Star Planet and presented by YES 5G.

Although it was not their first time visiting Malaysia, this marks NCT DREAM’s first solo concert in Malaysia ever, and it was highly anticipated as it was sold out immediately on the first day of the ticket sale.

Hours before the show started, fans have already lined up and dressed to the nines, colour-coded in mostly green as it was the official colour of the fandom. 

As soon as the concert started, the whole stadium was illuminated in a green hue and the cheers echoed throughout the venue as the boys conquered the stage with their first song, ‘Glitch Mode’.

All suited in grey-black outfits, showing off their synchronized dance moves and powerful vocals, their high energy can be felt through their performance. The boys then continued performing their other singles, including Countdown (1,2,3) and Stronger.

During their introduction ment, the boys radiates with so much charm and , and even showed off their Malay language skills too! Malaysian NCTZENs were definitely on cloud nine as NCT DREAM treated them with awesome fan service!

After that, the boys changed into more preppy outfits to perform their other upbeat songs including, My First and Last, Bye My First, Love Again. Then transitioned into units where we have Haechan, Chenle, and Renjun to perform their ballad, ‘Sorry, Heart’.

Then the members moved to the center and side stage to see the fans upclose whilst performing a medley of their hit songs, including ‘Puzzle Piece’, ‘ANL’ and ‘Chewing Gum’. 

Later it transitioned into another unit which consists of Mark, Jeno, Jaemin, and Jisung, performing their 90s-inspired hip-hop song, ‘Saturday Drip’. 

The boys also performed their other hit songs including 'Ridin', 'Boom', 'We Go Up' and 'Hot Sauce', the fans were all singing in unison as well.

Aside from their incredible performances and colourful set-ups, the boys wasted no time interacting with the fans with such charm and warmth, and delivering cute witty comments as well.

NCTzens also wished a happy birthday to Jeno although his birthday falls in April, and they also wished Haechan's upcoming birthday too!

The group also mentioned that although it was their first and last day in Malaysia, they were impressed with Malaysian NCTzens' energy throughout the concert and they wish to return here and perform for two days instead of one day. (Yes we hope they will come back here again too please!)

The boys then continued to perform other songs during the encore, including 'My Youth' and 'Walk You Home'. After they ended the stage, the crowd cheered for more and of course, they returned to the stage and gave their all with last iconic remake hit, 'Candy'!

The boys ended with a more heartfelt speech and felt thankful to see so many NCTzens at the concert and hope to see more in the future!

We can't get over charming the boys were and never failed to make us in awe with their awesome performances. We wish more success to them and hope to hear more good news from them too!

EXO-SC, comprising of Sehun and Chanyeol from EXO, popped by Singapore for their second stop as part of their “BACK TO BACK FANCON TOUR”! The boy group duo gave EXO-Ls a mid-week treat at The Star Theatre on 17 May 2023 with an array of games and performances.

Much to lucky fans and even media outlets’ delight, a press conference was held prior to the fancon. During a question where Sehun’s role in the drama “All That We Loved” was brought up, Chanyeol and Sehun exchanged a banter:

Host: “You donated a kidney to your friend in the drama! What would be the most generous thing you’d do for a friend?”

Sehun: “I’d do the same!”

Chanyeol: “Will you donate to me too?”

Sehun: “No…”

Chanyeol: “I don’t need it!”

The host also dropped a little snippet about how chill both members were during the soundcheck!

Much to EXO-L’s anticipation, the show finally started at 8pm, where fans filled the venue with the theme colour pink. Fan chants went loud and strong for EXO-SC’s first stage “What a life”, also from their first mini album!

SeChan then greeted fans with their first ment:

“You guys can understand us even without translation! Did you guys study Korean? Ah I know… it must be because of us,” Sehun teased.

The topic of food is not to be missed when in any new country – following up to the earlier press conference, Chanyeol once again spoke about his love for chilli crab:

“The moment we arrived in Singapore, we ordered chilli crab. When we reached our hotel, we ordered again.”

“He’s weird, he was really focused on the crab…” Sehun revealed.

“I can’t see anything else,” Chanyeol admitted to only having eyes for his favourite Singaporean dish.

The duo was also tested on their chemistry by having to choose the same answer throughout a series of questions. Unfortunately, they lost by getting three out of five questions wrong!

An example was them having to choose between having 5% battery on their phones but being able to use mobile data, or 100% battery but not able to use mobile data. Sehun chose the former, where witty Chanyeol then rebutted by saying he can only use his phone for a maximum of ten minutes. Hearing his groupmate’s answer, Sehun was at a loss for words and hilariously ended up apologizing.

They had to profess their love to each other as a forfeit, leading to an avalanche of laughter from the audience!

Unfortunately (or not 😉), the duo lost the game with 3 wrong - 2 correct and had to do a forfeit!

MIRANI is a South Korean rapper who is known for her unique style and confident lyricism. After her appearance on “Show Me The Money 9”, she rose to fame and released her first album, “UPTOWN GIRL”. She has been praised for her lyrical prowess and technical skills, and has been called one of the rising stars of the Korean hip-hop scene. MIRANI has also worked with many famous idols such as Moonbyul of Mamamoo and Jay B of GOT7. Currently signed to AT AREA, her top songs include “VVS”, “Daisy”, “Lambo!” and etc. 

A significant encounter, JUSTHIS was one of the producers for “Show Me The Money 9” in 2020, where MIRANI was part of his team. Together with their team, they released one of the biggest South Korean hits of the year, VVS – ranking at number 1 on the Gaon Digital Chart for seven consecutive weeks and winning Hip-Hop Track of the Year at the Korean Hip-hop Awards.
