On 21st of February, approximately more than 5,400 fans were invited to this K-pop concert
that was launched by Stargram at Singapore Indoor Stadium to meet their favoritee K-pop
stars such as JBJ, B1A4, EXID, Eugene Park, Kwak Dong Hyun and performance team, Optical Crew!

The long-awaited concert kicked off with JBJ as the initial act. Cheers from fans filled the stadium with the performance of JBJ's "Fantasy" and "Say My Name". An energetic greeting from the boys after the performance caused fans to scream even louder than before! They mentioned that it’s their 2nd time in Singapore, they were very glad to be back here again. Besides the high tension tracks, it’s time for them to change the atmosphere by approaching the crowd and continued to melt the fans with “True colors” and “Every day”. Before closing their performance, the boys concluded with a track from their latest album, "My Flower".

Eugene Park up next to show his incredible electric violin skills! Unlike ordinary violin performance, he impressed us with his ability to multi-task while performing.

Soon after the performance from Eugene Park, Optical Crew lighted up the stage in the dark with their extraordinary LED break dance. They performed a short verse to famous K-Pop songs like BTS’s “Fire”, Twice’s “Likey”. The stage was genuinely fascinating as the crowd applauded and cheered.

Without further ado, EXID kicked off the stage with their incredibly sexy performance “DDD”.
The girls were looking absolutely elegant and fabulous throughout the show. They interacted with the fans in English and mentioned that they missed Singapore fans.  EXID then bring their next stunning stage of “Hot Pink” and “Night Rather Than Day” and also their legendary song “Up&Down”. The fans were shouting on top of their lungs for them!

Kwak Dong Hyun performed songs like “Creep” and “My love every on heaven” blowing the crowd away with his heart-piercing beautiful tone and husky voice. The fans even created a beautiful sea of shining lights in the stadium by lighting up their phone's flashlights. It makes you feel united in the universe, standing in a sea of stars!


Lastly, B1A4 was up on stage with their popular track “What’s going on”.With an individual greeting, they mentioned that it has been long since they came to Singapore. Jinyoung apologized as he couldn't dance due to an ankle injury.  The boys also performed a few songs such as “A Lie”, “Rollin” and “Baby Goodnight”. They increased the level of energy in the crowd by making it as enjoyable as it looks. It was a magnificent moment to see everyone having fun together.

Some have started queueing in the wee hours of the morning, while others waited in the rain for their favourite boy group to arrive. That’s right, MONSTA X made their presence known on 2nd March at their outdoor press conference located at Plaza Singapura - prior to their SPECIAL SHOWCASE happening on the 3rd of March. Headlining the HSBC Women’s World Championship Music Festival 2018, MONSTA X has proved their explosive popularity in Singapore, as more than a 1,000 strong crowd turned up at the event. MONBEBEs were especially delighted to see the boys despite the unexpected downpour, and welcomed the boys with a euphoric atmosphere.

First but foremost, the boys took the opportunity to greet their Singapore MONBEBEs publicly, as it had been a hot minute since the idol group step foot into the country. starting it off with “HOO! MONSTA X”, their iconic greeting was enough to send their fans into a frenzy; hearing it live was a hundred times more enthralling than hearing it through your ear piece. Maknae I.M then took the liberty to address the fans in English, reminding them to take care of themselves, and not to catch a cold due to the torrential rain.

The MC had a list of questions in hand, and kick started the fan meet by having a Q&A session with them. He asked the members what food they would like to try in Singapore, and the majority of them opted for ‘Chili Crab’, a signature dish amongst Singaporeans. I.M chose another dish, expressing his love for satay dipped in peanut sauce. As expected of MONSTA X, it seems that they have weaved themselves into our culture so seamlessly!

The next question put their friendship (or should I say bromance?) to the test, and that was who they would choose to bring to a deserted island. Jooheon chose Shownu, as he believed that the leader excelled in everything he did. Shownu however chose Kihyun, as he liked his qualities of neatness and independence. I.M chose Minhyuk, as the older member have picked up life skills when he went to film ‘Law of the Jungle’ a few months ago.

A question popped up asking who works out most frequently in the group, and they unanimously voted for member Wonho! MONBEBEs were not shocked at the answer, as they knew that the member was a gym rat, or more appropriately, a gym bunny. The fans also sang a birthday song for Wonho whose birthday fell on 1st March.

A quality that MONSTA X possess as a whole would be their undeniable talent for humour; they are boys who know when to have fun and to relax. The group urged the fans to watch MONSTA X-Ray Season 1 and 2, and would love to further showcase their skills if they produced a new season of the show.

Last but not least, the boys share their favorite songs from their humble catalogue as of now. Jooheon’s pick was ‘From Zero’, while Shownu chose iconic title track ‘Beautiful’. Minhyuk chose their debut song ‘Trespass’, while Wonho chose ‘DRAMARAMA’, the song that propelled them to clinch their first win on “THE SHOW” during late 2017. I.M and Kihyun chose calming B-Side ‘Blue Moon’, which has a mellow tune with impassionately written lyrics.

Like the lyric “don’t wanna say goodbye” from ‘Blue Moon’ suggests, the time MONSTA X spent with MONBEBEs was too short lived, but the inevitable was coming near. Before leaving the stage, the boys once again assured Singapore fans that this shall not be the their last time in Singapore. Kihyun asserted, “We hope to come back to Singapore with our own solo concert next time.” Till then, we hope MONBEBEs will sit on tight and wait patiently while supporting the boys during their
second world tour and next comeback!

EXO, having started their tour since November, made a stop in Singapore for their
EXO Planet #4: The EℓyXiOn on the 3rd of March, 2018. In anticipation of the group’s arrival at 4pm on the Saturday evening, the Singapore Indoor stadium was illuminated by the excited 8,000 strong crowd and their white official lightsticks. The group kickstarted their concert with “The Eve”, a melodic yet also powerful R&B track that hyped up the audience. After that, they followed up with "Forever" as well as chart-topping songs "Ko Ko Bop" and "Growl". The concert featured impressive lighting works that amplified the ambiance of their performance.

They carried on the concert with a duet dance piece by members Xiumin and Baekhyun, and a
solo performance by the group’s main dancer, Kai titled “I See You”. They took a quick break and
returned to the stage with a new set of outfits, with a stage set up to mimic a scenario of a bar, in
order to suit the mood of the performances that featured songs “Call Me Baby”, “Touch It” and
“Chill”. The crowd was then serenaded by D.O’s English version of “For Life”, with Chanyeol
playing the piano as an accompaniment. The group then joined in to perform hits “Boomerang”
and “Lotto”. Shortly after, the performance was carried forward with EXO’s subunit CBX and their
new single “Ka-Ching!”, with the members having fun with customized props such as dollar bills
that featured their own faces.

Without wasting any time, more subsequent solo acts were featured, such as Suho with
“Playboy”, which he mentioned that the unusual camera angle from the front had amplified his
sexiness in; as well as Chanyeol with his soulful rap, “Hands”, that had subtle mentions of his
struggles in pursuing his dreams.

During the second half of their three hour-long performance, they performed along the extended stage with "Cloud 9", "What U Do", "Tender Love", and "Walk On Memories" in order to get a closer interaction with the fans seated further away from the stage.

Subsequently, the mood of the concert had transitted into its climax with fast tempo hits such as
“Diamond”, “Coming Over”, “Run This”, “Drop That” and “Power”. Then, as the members made an exit to the back of the stage, the lights turned off and fans started to sing along to “For Life”,
fervently swaying their lightsticks and chanting for EXO to get back on stage. The group then
returned afterwards and completed their encore stage with songs “Don’t Go” and “Angel”, before
thanking and bidding farewell to their fans.
