'Cheongdam International High School' Stars Lee Eun-saem & Red Velvet's Yeri WOW-ed Fans in Malaysia!

Korean stars Lee Eun-saem and Yeri (Kim Ye-rim) wrapped up a successful promotional tour in Malaysia earlier this week. The actresses were in town to promote their latest high school suspense drama “Cheongdam International High School”.

The stars spent a fun-filled afternoon with Malaysia fans at Sunway Pyramid last Saturday. Fans flocked to the shopping mall and waited in line for the event since early morning to catch a glimpse of the stars.

The crowd greeted Lee Eun-saem and Yeri with great excitement and loud cheers as they made their highly-anticipated appearance. Besides sharing about their time in Malaysia and favourite moments from their drama, the stars also played games and took photos with lucky fans at the event.

Lee Eun-saem and Yeri also met up with the Malaysian media during their whirlwind trip and shared more about their filming experiences and the challenges they encountered in the process. The actresses, who were excited to visit Malaysia and greet their fans in person, also expressed their appreciation to the fans for their warm welcome and overwhelming support.

NMIXX Tells You To “Love Me Like This” In Their First Showcase Tour In Singapore, 'NICE TO MIXX YOU'

NMIXX, a 6-member girl group from JYP Entertainment’s sub-label SQU4D, visited Singapore for the very first time for their showcase tour, <NICE TO MIXX YOU>. LILY, HAEWON, SULLYOON, BAE, JIWOO and KYUJIN put on a delightful show for their fans NSWERs on 23 June 2023 at The Star Theatre, showing off their overflowing energy as rookies in the industry.

The group kicked off the Friday night with none other than hit tracks from their debut single album, ‘TANK’ and ‘O.O’. They then greeted fans in English, even barely needing translation for the rest of the show!

Kyujin even did a pun using the song title ‘PXSSWORD’ - “Actually you know what? I need the password to NSWERs’ heart~”

Apart from performing, the girls also interacted with their audience for 'Young, Dumb, Stupid'. Not only they taught the point choreography, the audience also learnt how to harmonise to the song and were split into 3 teams to compete.

Reaching the second half of the show, the six members brought something different to the table with their very own renditions of TWICE’s ‘TT’ and David Guetta’s ‘Hey Mama’.

To NMIXX’s surprise, Singapore NSWERs prepared a heartfelt VCR for their favourite group! The VCR was a compilation of the members’ hard work during practices, funny moments, and even video messages from the fans themselves.

Hyewon: “Thank you for such an amazing event! We also just released our comeback teaser~”

Lily: “We can’t imagine how much effort you put into the video and slogans. Thank you so much! Are you excited for our new single?”

To everyone’s joy, Bae added a witty pick-up line in her ending ment:

Bae: “Before we go, I have one last question to ask! Are you good at Math?”
NSWERs: “No!”
Bae: “Me neither.. but the only number I care about is yours.”

While bidding goodbye to their fans, the members could not miss out performing their latest title track, “Love Me Like This”, where they even encouraged their audience to stand up and enjoy themselves.

NMIXX then returned NSWER’s sweet VCR by surprising them with two encores! For the first encore, they covered the famous 'Miss You 3000' from the Taiwanese drama, 'Someday or One Day', flaunting their Mandarin skills. From communicating with their fans to singing covers, it was obvious how much commendable effort the girls put into learning languages.

Red Velvet's member, Yeri (Kim Ye-rim), and rising actress Lee Eun-saem recently embarked on a star tour in Singapore to promote their latest drama, "Cheongdam International High School." Prior to the public fan meet event, the actresses sat down with the press to discuss their roles, on-screen chemistry, and their impressions of Singapore.

Filming "Cheongdam International High School" posed various challenges, including shooting during the winter season and working in the early hours. Yeri and Eun-saem overcame these difficulties with the help of heat packs, demonstrating their dedication to their roles. The actresses revealed their close bond and reliance on each other throughout the filming process. They shared moments of hanging out, enjoying meals together, and even visiting photobooths, highlighting their strong camaraderie offset.

Yeri expressed her hope that audiences would gain new perspectives through "Cheongdam International High School" and better understand Baek Je-na's point of view. Eun-saem emphasized the unique aspect of her character, Kim Hye-in, who possesses a warped personality that she found intriguing to portray. The actress acknowledged the difficulty she faced in relating to Hye-in's personality but aimed to make her more understandable to the audience.

Yeri and Eun-saem also discussed their desired roles in future projects. Yeri expressed her interest in exploring antithesis dramas, where she can delve into characters with contrasting traits. Eun-saem, on the other hand, expressed her desire to venture into action or sweet romance genres. Both actresses expressed their admiration for their respective characters in "Cheongdam International High School." Yeri preferred the role of Baek Je-na, while Eun-saem found the complex personality of Kim Hye-in intriguing, despite the challenges it presented.

Although this was not their first visit to Singapore, both Yeri and Eun-saem shared their positive experiences in the city-state. Yeri had previously performed in Singapore during the "Red Velvet 4th Concert: R to V" tour, while Eun-saem had enjoyed a vacation there in April. Yeri described Singapore as a place of healing, while Eun-saem emphasized its peaceful and rejuvenating ambiance. The actresses expressed their delight and appreciation for the opportunity to visit Singapore together again.
