The multi-talented singer-songwriter Eric Nam was in Singapore last year for HallyuPopFest and this time he will be returning to our sunny island for his Asia stop of 'Before We Begin' tour. The ‘Before We Begin 2020 World Tour’ kicks off first in Asia including cities - Taipei (9 Jan), Manila (10 Jan), Singapore (11 Jan), Jakarta (13 Jan) and Bangkok (15 Jan).

Girls' Generation's Hyo-yeon will return to our sunny island on 7 December for Legacy Festival. With top international DJs headlining the festival and the support of regional and local super heavyweights, Legacy promises a world-class festival experience on the 6 & 7 December across 2 stages.

Structures of 50m by 50m X-trusses will be set up in the front area of the main stage with more than 400 moving beams, lasers lights, and 800 LED screens, to give Festival goers a world-class experience. Festival goers will be encapsulated in an atmosphere of dizzying lights and effects towering from above. This structure has only been witnessed at a London festival. Singapore is the first Asian country to put up such stage in a festival.

Holiday season is always filled with festive content to enjoy and this November and December, the ultimate Korean entertainment Oh!K (Astro Ch394) is set to bring the latest Korean drama to you - including romantic comedy drama 'Love With Flaws' features Ahn Jae Hyun and Oh Yeon Seo, and, melodrama 'A Pledge To God' features Han Chae Young and Bae Soo Bin. Get ready to laugh, fall in love and experience a wide roller-coaster ride of emotions while watching the K-dramas.

'A Pledge To God' questions people’s views about moral and ethical dilemmas by showing a woman's unfortunate life. Ji Young (starring Han Chae Young), a successful female anchor, is having a wonderful life she's dreamed of with her husband, Jae Wook (starring Bae Soo Bin). However, her happiness doesn't last long. She finds out that Jae Wook is cheating on her while she's carrying Jae Wook's child. Jae Wook's affair makes her decide to get a divorce. After going through a hard time, Ji Young marries Min Ho (starring Lee Chun Hee), and they have a son, Hyeon Woo (starring Ha Yi An & Wang Suk Hyun). However, Hyeon Woo becomes terminally ill, and Ji Young is left with a hard choice. She has to either watch Hyeon Woo die or meet her ex- husband, Jae Wook, and accept his deal. What choice will she make? Will she choose to follow her maternal instincts to save her own son and ignore moral and ethical standards?

The enthusiastic P.E teacher Joo Seo Yeon (starring Oh Yeon Seo) whose ideal type is a non-good looking guy meets a man, Lee Kang Woo (starring Ahn Jae Hyun) who is obsessed with making himself look good to everyone. Despite their opposing views, they fall in love with each other as they overcome the prejudice against “people with flaws”.

Blessing of the sea will be airing it's final episode on 27 December. The Korean tale, Sim Chung Yi (starring Lee So Yeon) is a well-known fable about a young girl sacrificing her life to save her blind father. She is often referred as the best daughter, but does she really deserve all the praise to herself? The neighboring women who breast-fed her during her childhood, the Dragon King who took her in as his wife and searched for her father Sim Hak Gyu (starring Ahn Nae Sang), all supported and loved her. She could be brave because of the faith people had in her all along. Just like the fable, the Sim Chung Yi in this drama also finds her way out of the harsh reality even after losing both of her parents. Here’s to the modern-day Sim Chung Yis!

This drama tells the story of guests who stay for a long period of time at “Paradise Inn”, located in the neighbourhood of Huam in the Yongsan district. From the first room to the sixth room, all the guests are different in age, gender, and even where they grew up.

The success story follows Im Chi Woo (starring So Yoo Jin) and Choi Jin Yoo (starring Yeon Jung Hu) as they pursue their own happiness. Im Chi Woo never wanted to become a good daughter, a good daughter-in-law or a good wife, but she sacrifices herself to take care of her family. She is married to immature Park Wan Seung (starring Yoon Jong Hoon) and she works several part- time jobs to support her family. Under her difficult situation, she keeps smiling and maintaining her positive attitude. Choi Jin Yoo is a divorcee and he has a daughter. He works hard and tries to live positively for his daughter. He encounters a nightmare like a scenario. 

Back for the second edition, StarHub Night of Stars 2019 was a night to remember with a star-studded line-up of 18 renowned artistes across Asia - including Korean stars, Park Min Young, Kim Jae Wook, Sung Hoon and AB6IX. Rounding off the year with a bang, the awards show celebrated the hottest line-up of Asian entertainment on StarHub with the presentation of 18 awards coupled with performances by some of the region’s biggest stars.

Starting on a high note, local songstress Joanna Dong descended from a height and dazzled the crowd with a medley of hit drama theme songs of 2019, demonstrating her musical range and versatility. The returning hosts Dennis Nieh, Lulu Huang and Kate Pang brought the house down with their levelled-up rapport. Audience members were also in for a treat with performances by superstar Ekin Cheng, music sensation Yoga Lin and the rising K-POP idol group AB6IX. AB6IX stunned the crowd with an electrifying performance of their hit songs 'Breathe' and 'Blind For Love'.

The ultimate accolades of the night, the 2019 StarHub Best Male and Female Asian Star Awards, were presented to Kim Jae Wook and Park Min Young respectively. Both Korean stars were the leads in romantic comedy Her Private Life, sharing impeccable on-screen chemistry.

A cast member of popular reality show I Live Alone, Sung Hoon showcased an uncensored look into his personal life - his huge appetite and quirky habits stole the hearts of fans worldwide and earned him the 2019 StarHub Dazzling Star Award. The 2019 StarHub Most Promising Actor Award was awarded to Ong Seong Wu for his acting debut in At Eighteen, earning critical acclaim for his portrayal of a reclusive high school student.

Fan-voted Award Categories 

This year, StarHub increased the number of fan-voted awards to three, giving power to fans in deciding the ultimate winner. The three awards are the 2019 StarHub Favourite Variety Show Award, 2019 StarHub Favourite Korean Drama Male Character Award and 2019 StarHub Favourite Local Production Award. Voting took place through StarHub’s Facebook page and the winners are Park Jin Young for He Is Psychometric, Running Man and StarHub Night of Stars 2018 respectively. While the winners were not present, they surprised the audience and appeared on the big screen with a sweet thank-you message to fans.

Earlier in the afternoon, at the Green Carpet event held at Digital Light Canvas at The Shoppes, dedicated fans arrived as early as 6am to reserve the best spaces to get a glimpse of their favourite stars. Areas around the Digital Light Canvas were filled to the brim, extending beyond three levels. The awards show was attended by more than 1,700 guests, to the full capacity of the Sands Theatre, Marina Bay Sands.
