JAMES LEE returns with a summer bop about heartbreak, but a hook that’ll make you fall in love again. Teaming up with multi-talented Kevin Woo, their new single ‘Falling’, is the collab you’ve been waiting for!

“FALLING” is about that feeling of helplessness when you try to forget someone you’re in love with. Even though it’s a love song and the lyrics might sound a little sad, JAMES wanted it to feel good and fell in love with this one snare he had that helped the track really groove. Because of his hand injury, he couldn’t play the guitar himself but he had his friend David Dag Lee from college lay down some ideas. 

“I had been talking to Kevin about collaborating on a track for a while, but when I came up with this hook I thought the contrast in our voices would make this song really strong. I flew to Korea on my birthday and recorded him a couple days after. He’s definitely a professional and stayed open minded to all the suggestions I had while directing his vocals.”

Known for their tear-jerking dramas, pop bands and affinity towards spicy cuisine, Korean culture has been taking Malaysia by storm! Loyal K-fans can rejoice as eCurve rides on the Korean wave with a K-Pop talent show, as part of an exclusive Korean-inspired festival during the school holidays.

The highlight of the campaign was the K-Heat Kpop Talent Show 2019 which showcased both K-Dance competition and K-Sing competition. The K-Dance competition was judged by Choi Ssaem, Sachie Amira, member of TigaSoul as well as popular singer and songwriter; Iylia Anis, leader of Kueendom and special celebrity judge, Mix, Leader of Brute and winner of Kpop International Dance Cover Competition.

32 teams competed against each other and the competition was tough as contestants were judged not only on synchronisation but also the authenticity of the dance moves and use of creativity in the performance.

For the K-Sing portion of the competition, a total of 36 participants battled against each other. The contestants were judged on various criteria including singing ability, personality and pronunciation by Choi Ssaem, Amira and Iylia Anis.

From August 9 to 18, 2019, eCurve played host to the Kolours of Korea Festival 2019, which saw an array of Korean merchandise, food and performances to satisfy one’s Korean cravings. Various Korean-themed challenges, merchandise and food kept patrons fully entertained during the campaign period.

K-Pop hottest boy band EXO will be holding their 5th concert tour ‘EXO PLANET #5 – EXplOration – in Singapore’ on 15 September. This marks the band’s 4th consecutive year performing in Singapore after successfully wrapping up their EXO PLANET #4 – The ElyXiOn – in Singapore last March.

The show started off with a bang; with the opening act being ‘Color’, where Kang Daniel serenaded the crowd. After which, Kang Daniel had a rather in-depth interview session with the emcee, and answered a plethora of questions! He was amazed that fans could understand everything he said in Korean, so he always thought that all Singaporeans are really smart. For fans who have been waiting, the star has promised that the wait for an official fandom name will be over soon, and to look forward to content (videos) that he will be releasing soon!

During the quiz segment, Kang Daniel had to answer Singapore-centric questions and the iconic moment for fans would definitely be when he had to say, ‘Eh give chance leh, I blur sia!’

When asked about his thoughts on his journey as an artist thus far, Kang Daniel revealed that prior to the release of "Color on Me", he was not able to meet his fans for 6 months, so when he established Konnect, this special mini-album was released in a rush so that fans would not have to wait any longer. The name "Color" came about because he wanted to be able to express himself more, and he personally thinks that the title track "What Are You Up To" represents him very well! Although his all-time favourite from this mini album is actually "I HOPE". For him, it was extremely nerve-wrecking to be back on stage again after so long, and he almost cried during the showcase for the release of ‘Color on Me’. Quoting the star, "At times I felt like tearing or crying, but I held it in! I didn’t cry! That’s the point!!"

Kang Daniel revealed that he had the habit of writing down nice things that fans say to him, so when he wrote the lyrics for I HOPE, it was more of him replying to all these messages during the time he was unable to meet his fans. For Wannables, Kang Daniel still keeps in touch with his Wanna One members! He shared that even before take-off, he was still talking to some of them because of how nervous he was, and was very thankful for the things they told him because it helped a lot. Adding on to the good news; he did not expect to break the records! Throughout the fanmeet, Kang Daniel took every opportunity to express how thankful and appreciative he was for all the support and love the fans have given him, and that he will do his best to repay them.

Moving on to the game section, there were two games; guessing what Kang Daniel ate from the dance he does, and dart roulette (he has to do whatever corresponds to the number he hits on the dartboard).

The artist returned to the stage again with the captivating performance of ‘Horizon’, which definitely had fans screaming in their seats throughout! After a quick outfit change into the iconic pink jumpsuit, fans were treated to the live performance of "What Are You Up To"

Before the ending stage, the star shared his heartfelt thoughts; "The journey was really long but time passed very quickly. I realized that my fans have always been there and are always supporting me. I would like to show you a complete artist, and I hope my fans can live on their lives happily when they listen to my songs. It has not been very long since my debut, I want to be the artist you guys always think of when Performance is mentioned! I always thank you for supporting me and cheering me on. Maybe next time you can come to South Korea and attend all my concerts and fanmeetings? Love and peace!"

Fans were in for a treat when Kang Daniel did a special performance of Justin Bieber’s "Sorry", and then wrapped up the show with "I HOPE" during the encore!

The night was filled with diverse performance styles and heartwarming moments. Fans are definitely looking forward to what this multi-talented artist has in store for the future, and for the next show that he brings to our sunny island.

On 15 August 2019, Kang Daniel held a press conference to kick off the first stop of his tour.  Exclusively because Singapore was the first stop of Kang Daniel's Color On Me' solo fan meeting tour.

The press conference commenced with Kang Daniel expressing that he was extremely excited to meet everyone with his first album, conveying his utmost sincerity and love for his fans. The star also mentioned that he was well-rested, and he was very touched to be received by so many fans at the airport last night.

When mentioned about the viral video of the idol posing for a fan’s front-camera recording, Kang Daniel definitely saw the video online and explained how he simply wanted to give fans the best experience by greeting everyone at the airport, despite the late hour. What a sweet thought!

Ranking 1st place on the finale of Produce 101 Season 2, Mnet’s survival reality show, and being the center of former boy-group, Wanna One, Kang Daniel certainly misses his members and feels some pressure from having to fill up the stage alone.

Kang Daniel proceeded to give each of his songs a colour. For "Intro (Through The Night)", he chose pink as the song was passionate but not overpowering, so he went for pink instead of red. For "Colour", he chose rainbow as he wanted to show fans the many colours from himself. For What Are You Up To, he picked sky blue; Horizon, he picked black; I Hope, he picked yellow. Lastly, Kang Daniel picked black for himself as he likes the colour and believes that ultimately, all colours would come together and eventually turn black. He also wished that fans would turn up for his fan meeting in pink the next day!

As Busan’s ambassador, Kang Daniel recommended in English to visit Haeundae Beach and eat a lot of tasty food if they were to visit Busan. He also said that he enjoys spending time with his family, friends, and cats on his off days and driving in the night with great music.

Coming to Singapore once again, Kang Daniel mentioned that he would love to roam around Singapore and try our local delicacies this time round as he was unable to do so due to a tight schedule previously. When challenged to try the durian, Kang Daniel gladly agrees, exciting fans to find out if he would enjoy it at his fan meeting.

Leaving everyone with exhilaration, Kang Daniel promised to show his full energy at his fan meeting the next day, concluding the press conference on a happy note.
