Here’s your chance to enjoy your favourite K-Pop entertainment and cheer for the future rising stars! JOOX, Asia’s most popular music streaming app1 , will bring you a more intense excitement from Korea by livestreaming ‘PRODUCE X 101’ Season 4 on its platform every Friday at 10PM from 3 May onwards.

Held by Mnet, a South Korean pay television music channel, the past three seasons of ‘Produce 101’ have received global acclaim and praise. The show has grown in popularity among Asian countries, who have witnessed contestants delivering their best, sensational performances in front of an audience who determines the rising star’s future in the show by voting for their favourite act in multiple elimination rounds. Premiering on May 3, ‘PRODUCE X 101’ will be livestreamed on both Mnet’s channel and JOOX exclusively at the same time.

There'll be a total of 12 episodes and each episode subtitles (Chinese/English/local languages) will be uploaded on JOOX shortly after the official broadcast.

About Produce 101, Produce X 101

‘Produce 101’ is a group talent show series on Mnet in Korea that premiered in 2016, where the audience selects a band among 101 trainees through online and live voting with multiple elimination rounds. The program’s host as well as experienced and famous mentors, such as Lee Dong-wook (Guardian: The Lonely and Great God), also give the participants grades and guidance according to their performances. On top of this, the trainees have to live together, receive trainings, complete missions and compete against each other to be a part of the final 11 members, who will be promoted as a group for five years.

In the past seasons, ‘Produce 101’ has made I.O.I, Wanna One and IZ*One popular across Asia, proving its popularity among fans. New to this series is the X rank, the lowest rank that makes a participant vulnerable to elimination, which will make the show more exciting and breathtaking. Almost 5 years into their debut, MAMAMOO finally holds their first fan meeting in Singapore on 27 April 2019! The last leg of their Asia fan meeting tour; Hwa Sa, Moon Byul, Solar and Whee In swept the 2500-seated audience off their feet with their breathtaking vocals and on-stage charisma.

Dressed in eye-catching, shimmering outfits, the quartet kicked off the Saturday night at Zepp@BigBox with Egoistic, followed by Wind Flower. During the first ment, the members introduced themselves with their trademark harmonizing, showing their undeniable chemistry. Solar was pleasantly surprised by the huge turnout, and expressed "We're sad that we didn't come earlier".

The ladies then took things slower with soothing R&B ballad Better Than I Thought, then lit up the atmosphere again with No More Drama. Finally it's time to interact with the audience - four lucky Moomoos were chosen to go onstage to play games with the members!

For the "Guess the Song" game, the four members were split into two teams - Solar and Moon Byul in Team Mama, and Whee In and Hwa Sa in Team Moo. After the girls personally picked the lucky fans and went to their respective teams, the game commenced with everyone fighting intensely to win. In the end, Team Mama emerged as the winner whereas Team Moo had to do a cute penalty - the "Backpack Kid" dance! All in all, the lucky Moomoos thoroughly enjoyed themselves and much to everyone's envy, each Moomoo even took a selfie with MAMAMOO themselves.

The next segment was Moomoo Tree; where the members had to fulfill fans' wishes by picking one post-it wish each. Moon Byul sang and danced to TVXQ's Before U Go, Solar serenaded the audience with a song, Whee In brought fan service to another level by doing a sexy dance with Moon Byul, and ended with Hwa Sa's powerful rapping. Steady lah!

Immersing the crowd with their beautiful vocals once again, the girl crushes performed hits such as I Love Too, Star Wind Flower Sun, Starry Night, Gogobebe and Yes I Am. The fan meeting concluded with a sweet VCR made by Singapore Moomoos, and even a dak-bal (chicken feet) cake for birthday girl Whee In!

The ladies performed their final touches with Decalcomanie, Waggy and Um Oh Ah Yeh, where they even pulled off beautiful traditional Kerbayas. With these costumes, coupled with the influx of Singlish, MAMAMOO definitely left a deep impression on local Moomoos' hearts with these touches of our Singaporean culture. We're sure every attendee was brimming with joy and content as they ended off their April with these four talented girls!

Hyolyn hit the stage at the by-invitation-only PUMA CALI party held at Sentul Depot last Saturday, which also marked her first solo appearance in Malaysia. Organised by PUMA Southeast Asia, the event was held in conjunction with the PUMA #CaliTravelog campaign featuring the iconic PUMA Cali sneakers and Hyolyn, the campaign ambassador.

In line with the adventurous and fun “Cali vibes”, the venue was transformed into a boho-chic party ground with an array of free-to-play activities such as mini bungee for party-goers to participate with their friends, festival foods including burgers, popcorns, cotton candy from food trucks and stalls, all these set in a colorful Instagrammable space perfect for photo mementos.

In addition to fans and winners in Malaysia, the 500-strong turnout at the by-invitation-only event included regional media from Singapore and Indonesia, PUMA friends and brand ambassadors such as actress Dawn Yeoh and radio DJ Sonia Chew from Singapore. Malaysian celebrities such as DJ Cza, Charis Ow, Alexis Sue Ann, Koe Yeet and Hanan Helme were also in attendance.

The finale of the evening was the much-anticipated “live” performance by Hyolyn. Illuminating the stage with her impeccable choreography and powerful vocals, Hyolyn wowed the audience with her hit singles - 'SEE SEA', 'BAE' and 'Dally'.  Hyolyn’s signature dance move, the 'Dally' dance, got the audience to groove along with her.

Hyolyn spoke briefly between songs and shared her excitement to be in Malaysia for the PUMA CALI party with the host of the evening - popular Malaysian content creator, Jenn Chia. “Kuala Lumpur is one of the stops included in my World Tour and I am really excited to perform here again. It will be my chance to entertain the Malaysian audience and interact with my fans whom I dearly miss,” added Hyolyn.

To top of her solo tracks, Hyolyn sang 'My Love From the Star' OST, 'Hello, Goodbye' and surprised the packed audience with a mash-up of SISTAR's hit track, 'Shake It' and sub-unit SISTAR19's 'Ma Boy' (ps: those nostalgic feelings when the songs were played).

In addition to Hyolyn’s “live” performances, three exhilarated lucky fans were invited to do a dance-off with Hyolyn on stage, making this one of the thrilling highlights of the PUMA CALI party. Closer to the end, Hyolyn did a cover of 'Bang Bang' and she literally nailed every note.

Hyolyn is the face of the regional PUMA #CaliTravelog campaign in Southeast Asia that rolled out since January 2019. The 6-month campaign runs across in-store, out-of-home as well as online platforms in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. In addition to the by-invitation PUMA CALI party, fans of PUMA CALI stand a chance to win a ‘Cali Dream Trip’ (worth USD4000) and enjoy a unique holiday experience in California.

Kicking off their set with their oh-so-recognizable Love Scenario, the audience sang at the top of their voices; showing their enthusiasm after a two-month wait. An iKONic or not, we’re sure the audience enjoyed iKON’s biggest hit to their hearts’ content! The seven boys then took everyone a trip down the memory lane with My Type.

Much to everyone’s anticipation, the members finally greeted the hyped audience in fluent English. No strangers to our island, they expressed how much they missed Singapore with statements like “We really miss you guys” and “Long time no see, Singapore”. Leader B.I even made everyone laugh as he ended off with “Have a nice day”! The YG boys continued the night with nostalgic singles BLING BLING and Rhythm Ta. They put out an overwhelming of energy, looking at how the audience were enjoying.

Even on a humid Sunday night, the boys displayed their professionalism by never showing a sign of fatigue. They did tease fans a little, though – when Jinhwan commented “It’s super hot” during their second ment, Bobby suggested him to remove his clothes, which the former complied by opening the top of his shirt! Needless to say, this mischievous action received screams from the crowd.

As much as everyone couldn’t bear to, it was time for iKON to end the fun with B-DAY and Dumb & Dumber. We’re sure the boys gained a couple more fans this time, by exposing themselves to an audience beyond their usual iKONics!
