The cast and crew of The Divorce Insurance gathered at a press conference in Seoul to give fans a sneak peek into their highly anticipated rom-com series. Director Lee Won-seok, alongside stars Lee Dong-wook, Lee Joo-been, Lee Kwang-soo, and Lee Da-hee, shared insights on the unique premise and characters that make this show stand out. The series revolves around Noh Ki-jun (Lee Dong-wook), a seasoned insurance expert who has been divorced three times and is now working on creating a divorce insurance product. The rom-com series promises to bring laughter, heartfelt moments, and a fresh take on relationships. The Divorce Insurance will be available on Prime Video starting March 31 in Malaysia and over 240 countries and territories worldwide.

Upcoming Korean rom-com series The Divorce Insurance dives into unprecedented waters with the premise of divorce insurance. The story focuses on a team setting out to create a divorce insurance product that can protect everyone’s future. Starring popular stars Lee Dong-wook, Lee Joo-been, Lee Kwang-soo and Lee Da-hee, the show tells the story of those who have been divorce and now are ready to discover love again. The new trailer for the show, dropping today, asks the question, “Is there an insurance policy to keep you happy for the rest of your life?”. The series follows the team’s creation of a divorce insurance product, designed to address one of the most pressing concerns of modern times—divorce. The trailer offers a sneak peek at the office rom-com set in an insurance company’s product development team, including the main character Ki-jun who is very passionate about creating a divorce insurance product.

Lee Dong-wook takes on the role of No Ki-jun, an insurance actuary at Plus Insurance’s innovative product development team. Having been married and divorced three separate times, Ki-jun is well-experienced when it comes to divorce. His familiarity with it has inspired him to create a divorce insurance product to help people like himself.

Lee Joo-been plays Kang Han-deul, an insurance underwriter who undergoes a transformation through her own divorce. Equipped with a quirky and cheerful personality, she joins Ki-jun’s divorce insurance development team, gradually gaining courage to move forward while navigating a new relationship with  Ki-jun.

Lee Kwang-soo portrays An Jeon-man, a risk surveyor who prioritizes safety above all else. Though he appears cool and composed on the outside, he is actually quite timid. As he navigates the challenges of developing divorce insurance, he embarks on the biggest adventure of his life.

Lee Da-hee transforms into Jeon Na-rae, a financial mathematician who views the world purely through an investment lens. Confident in all of her life decisions, she joins Ki-jun’s team as a special quantitative consultant. However, as time goes by, her perspective on life begins to change.

The series centres on Lee Jae-yoon (Park Jeong-min), who is serving his compulsory military service, and his girlfriend Kang Young-joo (Jisoo), as they race to be reunited in zombie-infested Seoul. He is known for his impressive acting in films like Dongju: The Portrait of a Poet and Deliver Us from Evil. Jisoo is loved worldwide for being an actor, a solo artist, and a member of the girl group Blackpink. Furthermore, Director Yoon Sung-hyun is known for his acclaimed debut film Bleak Night and Time to Hunt. There’s also a lot of love between them with Park Jeong-min having collaborated with Yoon Sung-hyun many times. The actor said, “I debuted through Director Yoon Sang-hyun’s film Bleak Night and he’s one of the people I'm most thankful to, so there’s no reason to decline if he offers me a role. I have appeared in all of his works but I was never the main character before, but this time I am so I was very thankful.” Park Jeong-min also shared about being a fan of Blackpink and being so excited to work with Jisoo again after appearing in a cameo with her for the film Dr. Cheon and Lost Talisman. The actress has starred in countless hits including her most recent drama Love in Contract. You can always count on quality acting from her, and she won’t disappoint in Marry My Husband. The actress went to great lengths to portray her cancer patient character. Park Min Young explained, “Besides small details such as her gestures, how she uses her voice, her clothes, and her hairstyle, I focused on creating a person who truly hit rock bottom. Given my age, I thought about when else I would be able to pour this much passion and energy into a character, so I put my all into creating this character.”Besides our lovely protagonist, characters like Yu Ji-hyeok (Na In-woo) and Baek Eun-ho (Lee Gi-kwang) will also be vying for our hearts. The actors described their characters with Na Inwoo saying, “He’s someone who can provide everything for the person he loves whether it’s an emotional or material need. His only flaw is he’s a bit clumsy at expressing his feelings.” Lee Gi-kwang shared, “Eun-ho is like a sunflower. He’s only ever liked Ji-won and he has a lot of cute lines. In fact, it can provide inspiration for viewers who wish to change their fates as well.Marry My Husband is definitely a melodrama with the plot being full of betrayal and revenge.
