SUPER JUNIOR Turns Back Time in Kuala Lumpur With an Emotional 20th Anniversary SUPER SHOW 10

Friday, January 23, 2026

SUPER JUNIOR returned to Kuala Lumpur on Saturday, January 17, 2026, with SUPER JUNIOR 20th Anniversary TOUR <SUPER SHOW 10> in KUALA LUMPUR, filling Axiata Arena at 5:00 PM with nostalgia, gratitude, and a deep sense of celebration. Organized by IME Malaysia, the sold out show marked the group’s first return to Malaysia since 2024’s SUPER JUNIOR <SUPER SHOW SPIN-OFF: Halftime> in Kuala Lumpur, and it felt like a long awaited reunion between artists and fans who have grown up together.

The concert opened with Twins (Knock Out), instantly transporting the arena back to SUPER JUNIOR’s early days. The nostalgia hit hard, and when U followed, the energy exploded. Deafening cheers filled the venue, light sticks moved in unison, and fans sang along at full volume. It was immediately clear that this was a crowd of loyal ELFs who had waited years for this exact moment, capturing every second on their phones while screaming every lyric from memory.

The setlist traced SUPER JUNIOR’s full 20 year journey, blending their earliest hits with newer tracks. Many of their classic title songs were reimagined with fresh arrangements, giving familiar favorites a new edge. Mr. Simple, Bonamana, and Sorry Sorry returned in bold DJ and rock versions, transforming the arena into something closer to a club and a live rock show at the same time. The reinvention impressed longtime fans and proved how the group continues to evolve without losing its core identity.

During the talk segments, the members repeatedly shared their regret that Kuala Lumpur only had one show, especially since it was completely sold out. They reassured fans that they had prepared a lot for this year and promised to return as soon as possible.

As a 20th anniversary tour, emotion ran deep throughout the night. One of the most touching moments came through a video that focused on the journey of ELF, showing how fans have grown from fangirls into adults navigating real life while still holding onto their love for SUPER JUNIOR. Many in the audience were visibly emotional, wiping away tears as the stories mirrored their own lives and long relationship with the group.

One of the loudest reactions of the night was reserved for Kim Heechul. Heechul appeared on stage for this tour, having previously said he would join because of how meaningful the 20 year anniversary was to him. He has not joined tours for years, making his presence especially powerful. Malaysian ELFs welcomed him with overwhelming cheers, and throughout the performance, he gave his all. His vocals were strong, his presence confident, and it was clear that he had not lost his singer’s instinct at all.

True to their humor, SUPER JUNIOR joked about not being able to strip their clothes in Kuala Lumpur out of respect for local culture, even though they said they would love to. Leeteuk added that despite being fully clothed, they would still give everything they had on stage, drawing laughter and cheers from the crowd.

The group also spent time reminiscing about filming the Dancing Out music video in Malaysia, sharing how meaningful those memories were to them. It has been 20 years since then. They expressed a desire to return to Malaysia to film another music video and create new memories with ELF, hinting strongly that they would be back very soon, and hopefully with several shows in a row.

The bond between SUPER JUNIOR and Malaysian ELFs was beautifully summed up during a slogan event prepared by fans, reading, “Even when Super Junior becomes grandfather, ELF will always be there.” Leeteuk responded warmly, saying that even when ELF becomes grandmother, SUPER JUNIOR will always be there too.

Then came the moment that made the night truly unforgettable. Only in Malaysia did SUPER JUNIOR deliver a second encore with Dancing Out. The group usually ends this tour with Finale, and as fans began to leave, thinking the show was over, SUPER JUNIOR suddenly returned to the stage with Dancing Out. The surprise sent shockwaves through the arena. Screams erupted, fans ran back to their seats, and the atmosphere shifted instantly into pure joy. It felt spontaneous, generous, and deeply personal, as if the group wanted to give Malaysian ELFs something special that belonged only to them.

SUPER JUNIOR’s SUPER SHOW 10 in Kuala Lumpur was more than a concert. It was a celebration of 20 years of music, memories, and an unbreakable bond between artists and fans.

Thank you to IME Malaysia for inviting us to witness this unforgettable night.
