Disney+ is pushing Korean storytelling into a powerful new chapter. At the Disney+ Originals Preview held at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, The Walt Disney Company Asia Pacific unveiled its next wave of Korean content, emphasizing high quality dramas, star power, and deeper collaboration with leading creators. The showcase highlighted major premieres, returning hits, and ambitious adaptations set to fuel the platform’s growing global momentum.

One of the most anticipated announcements was the premiere date for Made in Korea, the crime noir headlined by Hyun Bin and Jung Woosung. The series will debut on December 24, and a second season is already confirmed for 2026. The confidence in renewal underscores the strong response to early previews and the platform’s commitment to expanding premium Korean drama franchises.

Disney+ also spotlighted The Manipulated, the action drama starring Ji Changwook and Doh Kyungsoo that is already streaming. The series introduces a high tension battle for survival as Taejoong fights against a sinister mastermind who has framed him for a crime he did not commit.

More action comes through Gold Land, a fast moving crime and chase thriller led by Park Boyoung and Kim Sungcheol. The story follows Heeju, who becomes entangled in a dangerous plot involving smuggled gold and a life on the run.

Another highlight is A Shop for Killers Season 2, an intense follow up that sees Lee Dongwook and Kim Hyejun return as Jian and Jinman. The new season shifts the story into a full offensive as they take the fight back to the mercenary group Babylon.

Romance fans were treated to a major announcement with Perfect Crown, starring IU and Byeon Wooseok. Set in a modern constitutional monarchy, the series follows a prince and a powerful heiress who team up for strategic gain before discovering a deeper connection. The drama will arrive on Disney+ in 2026.

The presentation also previewed Are You Sure?! Season 2 featuring BTS members Jimin and Jungkook. The pair continue their heartfelt travel reality series with new adventures premiering December 3.

Disney+ further teased its growing list of webtoon based adaptations. The Remarried Empress brings Shin Mina, Ju Jihoon, Lee Jongsuk and Lee Seyoung together in a sweeping fantasy romance about power, betrayal and a queen reclaiming her life. Portraits of Delusion explores a haunting love story between Suzy Bae and Kim Seonho in a world where grief, art and mystery collide.

The preview highlighted how Korean storytelling has become a global force. Disney+ shared that Korean titles are gaining significant traction in Latin America, especially in Brazil and Mexico, adding to strong fandoms in Asia and the United States.
