Rewind the Best Moments at BLACKPINK 2019 World Tour [In Your Area] Kuala Lumpur

BLACKPINK drew 16,000-strong crowd to Stadium Malawati last weekend and headlined the 2-days concerts with a whopping 18-song set. The group's first show in Malaysia was so overwhelming that the concert tickets were completely sold and an additional show had to be added to its 2019 World Tour [In Your Area] schedule. The 1.5 hours concert in Malaysia - was without a doubt a blockbuster one for BLINKs. Let us rewind some of the best moments happen on the 23rd February concert day.
BLACKPINK Stage Is A Glowing
In hours before BLACKPINK took the stage at Stadium Malawati, thousands were seen lining up outside the venue, just waiting to get into the concert itself. All that waiting did not dim BLINKs enthusiasm as BLACKPINK lived up the massive hype with their powerful performances.

BLACKPINK performed all nine of their original songs as well as Jennie's solo track titled "Solo" and the collaboration track with Dua Lipa titled "Kiss And Make Up". BLACKPINK music itself is very upbeat, making it easy to jam out at the concert.
Kick-started with their greatest hits "Ddu Du Ddu Du" and "Forever Young", the songs got the crowd moving and jumping around while waving the official lightstick Pyong Bong (Hammer stick). During the opening break, the members greeted the fans in Malay and Jisoo's "Kami rindu padamu" definitely melted your hearts. After the greetings, BLACKPINK then moved on to perform "Stay" and transition seamlessly to "Whistle".

To top of the group songs, each member was given a chance to shine at their solo stages, allowing the crowd to be intimate with one member. Jisoo was first up, appearing on the glittering balls and covered Zedd's 'Clarity'. Listening to covers like this is so soothing and yet still enjoyable.

Lisa then took the stage solo and hyped the audience with the fast beat of "Take Me" and "Swalla". (ps: there's no doubt she is known as the dancing machine in the group.) Rose, however, showed her versatile side, singing a mash up with Beatles' "Let It Be", Park Bom's "You & I" and Taeyang's "Only Look At Me". Rose clearly takes the original, changes it, and owns it in her own distinct way.

Jennie then had the spotlight to herself by performing "Solo". Jennie's charisma on stage was fantastic. (ps: By watching each member unique solo stages we truly believe the members' individual singles will be a success.)

Closer to the end of the concert, BLACKPINK did a cover of Wonder Girls' "So Hot", which the members previously performed at SBS Gayo Daejeon. BLACKPINK made "So Hot" even hotter with a contemporary twist of the original music. BLACKPINK also served us a dance solo to "16 Shots" in the sexy black attire.

Fans went wild chanting and screaming for BLACKPINK when Ddu-Du-Ddu-Du was played once again. Hearing the 8,000 crowd singing their hearts out "Hit you with that Ddu du Ddu Du, Aye Aye" was pretty impressive. Before bidding farewell, Jennie commented, "It's our first time in Malaysia but we have received such a warm welcome. We'll come again." BLACKPINK then made a wonderful close with a rendition of "Stay".

Though it was just a 1.5 hour show, but BLINKs were happily exhausted from running on high for the entire show. We bet each and every stage performed last night will STAY forever in BLINKs' hearts. Hopefully we'll be able to see BLACKPINK's return with a full album, of course, not to miss out the members' individual singles.
