HIGHLIGHT, the latest ambassador of The Shilla Duty Free

In celebration of The Shilla Duty Free’s 4th year anniversary in Changi Airport, the leading travel retailer presented its latest brand ambassadors, Korean-pop sensation Highlight, in Singapore for an exclusive media conference and fanmeet. Held on 12 October 2018 at Changi Airport, this marked Highlight’s first ever appearance in Singapore as the appointed face of the global duty free store. The celebratory event was The Shilla Duty Free’s way of expressing its ‘Thank-You’ to customers for their support over its past four years of operations in Changi, as well as a toast to more bright years to come.

The beloved South Korean five-member boy group spent the morning at the Shilla Beauty Loft - the world’s first beauty services loft in a duty free store, where travellers can enjoy an exquisite pampering session before their flights. There, they indulged in luxurious skin treatments, hand massages, and makeover services from prestige brands including Dior, La Prairie and SK-II.

Thereafter, Highlight sat down for a closed-door press conference in Changi Airport Terminal 4 (T4) where they greeted media from Singapore, China and Indonesia. The Korean celebrities charmed attendees with their dazzling charisma and personalities, sharing their excitement about visiting Singapore and being the latest ambassadors of The Shilla Duty Free.

Following the press conference, The Shilla Duty Free and Changi Airport organised a highly-anticipated fanmeet session for Highlight at T4’s Departure Hall, where swarms of excited fans from across the globe gathered to get in on the action. The affable stars captivated the audience with a special performance of four songs, with the enthusiastic crowd singing along to every word.

Highlight’s special appearance at The Shilla Duty Free Changi Airport’s 4th anniversary celebrations marked a significant milestone for the travel retailer. The celebrities’ friendly charm and electric charisma lit up the celebrations, and connected the brand to its many Korean culture-loving customers. The successful event also exemplifies Shilla’s commitment to creating unique, memorable, and experiential events, being the go-to beauty destination for travellers.

iKON once again delivered another memorable night for Malaysian IKONICs for its 2018 CONTINUE TOUR in Kuala Lumpur at Stadium Malawati on 13^th of October 2018.

The 7-member boy group, which consists of, B.I., Bobby, Jay, Ju-ne, Song, DK, and Chanwoo, brought the house down with their astonishing performances and unforgettable wild persona!

The show started off with iKON performing their hit songs including 'Bling, Bling' and 'Sinosijak'. The stadium was filled with red-tinted light sticks and loud chants, which complimented really well with iKON’s fiery stage presence.

The boys’ energy and earth-shaking music were more than enough to make 7,000 of fans dance and sang their hearts out! The boys were also segregated into sub-units and solo stages, including B.I. performing 'One and Only', Vocal Team (Ju-Ne, Jay, DK, Song, Chanwoo) melted the fans’ hearts with ‘Perfect’ and Bobby rapping to ‘Hol' Up!'.

iKON members also spared some time to introduce themselves and even interacted humorously with one another (in English) to entertain the whole crowd. Not to forget, Bobby had to act cute to the whole crowd because he lost a bet to B.I.! (Check out how shy he was in the video below!)

One of the highlights of night is when iKONICs took the opportunity to sing a birthday song for B.I., whose birthday falls on Oct 22^nd. Overwhelmed by the thoughtful birthday greeting, B.I. expressed how thankful he was for his fans’ efforts as he saw the fan banners! The show continued as iKON performed their most loved songs including ‘My Type’, 'Killing Me' and ‘Love Scenario’.

To return the love and great response from the fans, the heat spiked even more as iKON performed ‘Dumb and Dumber’ and ‘B-Day’ for their encore!

As the show has come to an end, the members mentioned that they would come back to Malaysia again if they ever have the opportunity to do. As Jay said, “I heard that the night view in Kuala Lumpur is very beautiful, if I have the time to travel, I want to check out all of Malaysia”

Due to receiving so much love from global fans, iKON will be heading to Bangkok, Sydney, Melbourne, Hong Kong, Manila and Singapore for their iKON 2018 Continue Tour.
