Chart-topping Chinese recording artist/songwriter/producer/actor Kris Wu has shared his latest single, “Freedom” ft. Jhené Aiko. Released via Ace Unit/Interscope Records, “Freedom” is available now via all digital retailers.

Produced by FKi 1st (Migos, 2 Chainz, Post Malone, Travis Scott), “Freedom” is a quietly powerful melodic rap track that unfolds with graceful guitar and heart-stirring string arrangements over trap drums. Shifting effortlessly from soulful serenade to nimble, rapid-fire flow, Kris’s vocal delivery makes an irresistible match for Aiko’s lush yet ethereal voice.

“Freedom” follows Kris’s recent single “Like That,” which debuted at #73 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and at #37 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Hailed as a “contagious, slow tempo record” by HotNewHipHop and a “breezy bop with a romantic twist” by Idolator, “Like That” hit #1 on the US iTunes Chart immediately after premiering in May.

Also in May, Kris shared the video for “Like That" featuring British supermodel Stella Maxwell which the music video garnered over 14 million views to date.

Both “Freedom” and “Like That” are set to appear on Kris’s forthcoming debut album, due out this fall. The two singles are Kris’s first releases since signing an exclusive international recording agreement with Interscope Records / Universal Music Group (UMG) in April. 

Last October, Kris became the first-ever Chinese artist to reach #1 on the US iTunes Chart, thanks to the smash success of his single “Deserve” ft. Travis Scott. Along with breaking the Top 40 on US Rhythmic radio, “Deserve” has racked up more than a billion streams globally. 

One of Asia’s biggest stars, 27-year-old Kris was born in Guangzhou, China. Get It Beauty On The Road Malaysian edition is a collaboration between CJ E&M HK and Astro, and adapts the winning format of popular Korean beauty programme, Get It Beauty (韩妆教室), by exploring K-beauty trends and tips. To add diversity to the show, it has expanded to Singapore and Malaysia this year, with more locations planned in the pipeline. The host trio formed by Kim Jung-min, TV personality best known for her hosting of Get It Beauty in Korea (2010 – 2016); Min, Korean TV host, singer, former member of Korean girl group Miss A, and local host Kaka Azraff, will delve into the beauty trends of the beautiful city of Kuala Lumpur and blend in K-beauty elements that capture every girl’s heart!

Jinju,a city known as the fountainhead of national culture and spirits. Many cultural events held in Jinju every year and among these are the Jinju Namgang Yudeung Festival which is held in October. 

Jinju Namgang Yudeung Festival originates from the lantern lighting custom used during the Jinjuseong Fortress Battle of the Imjinwaeran War (Japanese invasion, 1592) as a military strategy to prevent Japanese troops from wading the Namgang River by alerting the troops in the fortress of potential invasion from the river. The lanterns were originally lit by people inside the fortress as a way to communicate with their family members outside but were gradually seen as a form of honoring the men of merit who died during the war.

Featuring diverse floating lantern lighting displays on the stream, this festival was selected as a global festival by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Visitors can make their own wish lanterns and send it downstream or even submit an entry to the most innovative lantern contest. Traditional lanterns from all over the world will be on display as well, but the festival's main draw is the simple beauty of thousands of lanterns lighting up the night.

100 days My Prince is a romantic historical drama about crown prince Lee Yool (played by EXO’s D.O) who suddenly disappears and comes back to the palace 100 days later. So, what happen to the crown prince after meeting Hong-Shim (played by Nam Ji-Hyun), the oldest unmarried woman in the village but is smart and runs the first private detective agency in Joseon?

100 Days My Prince has received great reviews after its first episode premiered last Monday with backstory telling the main characters’ childhoods leading to the present day. It was reported the drama has recorded an average viewership rating of 5.0% and the highest rating of 6.4%. 100 Days My Prince also set a new record for tvN drama, marked as the highest viewership rating historical drama among tvN dramas in the time slot.

If you’re not a fan of historical drama, you often engage historical drama as “the dull palace story” but 100 Days My Prince would change your perception towards it. By watching the teasers, we know there’s a heavy emphasis on the comedy, so definitely it won’t be “dull”. Actor Jo Han-Chul said during the press conference, “it’s a historical drama, but also trendy, humorous and comical”.

Starting with the heartwarming childhood crush story, bringing us back to the olden days then story dramatically changed when Lee Yool’s father (played by Jo Han-Chul) became the new king of Joseon and Lee Yool as the crown prince. (ps: enough for the spoiler ><) The engaging storyline and actors outstanding acting skills definitely put the drama in the 5-star list.

Although it only aired for 2 episodes, but D.O has received many compliments for his outstanding acting skills. Not only in drama “It’s Okay, That’s Love”, movie “Along with Gods”, this time, the role Lee Yool also proven D.O as a potential actor who able to act in diverse characters. Many are looking forward to D.O’s lead role as Prince Yool and how the character turns into the useless village idiot, Won Deuk.
