EXO’s Kai captivated fans in Kuala Lumpur with his first solo concert in Malaysia as part of the 2025 KAION tour. The concert, held on May 24 at the Mega Star Arena, marked his first international stop after launching the tour in South Korea.

Kai delivered a dynamic performance, showcasing his signature choreography and stage presence. The setlist featured tracks from his solo discography, including hits like “Mmmh,” “Peaches,” and “Rover,” as well as a selection of EXO classics

The concert was a visual spectacle, with elaborate stage designs and lighting complementing each performance. Kai's interactions with the audience added a personal touch, making the event memorable for fans.

Aside from performing his hit solo songs, Kai made the night even more special by revisiting EXO’s early days, performing a touching medley of ‘My Lady,’ ‘Baby Don’t Cry,’ and ‘Angel’ that left fans reminiscing.

Straight from the Tudum 2025 global fan event in Los Angeles, Netflix has dropped the main trailer and brand-new stills for the long-awaited final season of Squid Game — a spine-chilling climax to the cultural juggernaut that redefined survival drama. Cast members from Seasons 2 and 3 were in attendance as the explosive preview set the stage for what may be the most brutal chapter yet. Premiering June 27, Squid Game: Season 3 asks the ultimate question: who will be the last one standing in the 45.6 billion won game?

“Knock Knock, Who Is It?” — The End Begins

The trailer opens with the eerie echo of a children’s rhyme — “Knock knock, who is it? It’s me, the little kid” — as players cower behind the floral tights of a now-returning Young-hee, the towering doll from Season 1’s infamous Red Light, Green Light. The nostalgia is twisted, the stakes deadlier than ever.

Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) is back, consumed by guilt. “Why didn’t you kill me? Why did you let me live?” he cries, mourning the death of friend Jung-bae after a failed rebellion. His target? The Front Man (Lee Byung-hun) — unmasked and revealed as Young-il, a former player turned orchestrator. Their long-awaited confrontation leads to the chilling line: “Number 456, do you still have faith in people?”

New Games, New Nightmares

Forget marble games — this season’s horrors are just getting started. Flash-cut visuals tease jump rope as a new form of execution. Elsewhere, Geum-ja (Kang Ae-sim) pleads through sobs, “Please, let us stop playing these games,” while Myung-gi (Yim Si-wan) challenges Jun-hee (Jo Yu-ri): “So what are you planning to do? Just sit here and die?”

Every frame burns with desperation, as alliances fracture and hope dims.

Final Faces of Survival

The newly released stills tell a story of pain, persistence, and possible redemption. Gi-hun appears in a suit, stone-faced — a man who may have finally reached the game’s inner sanctum. The Front Man is spotted wearing player number 132, a cryptic reveal that hints at his concealed past.

Survivors Myung-gi, Dae-ho (Kang Ha-neul), Hyun-ju (Park Sung-hoon), and more are shown in high-stakes moments, emotions raw and unfiltered. In one of the trailer’s most shocking shots, Gyeong-seok (Lee Jin-uk) — presumed dead after being gunned down during the rebellion — reappears, bloodied and clutching his stomach, confronting a Pink Guard. Revenge? Redemption? The truth is coming.

Meanwhile, Detective Jun-ho (Wi Ha-jun) returns, tracing the cryptic symbols behind the games — and maybe, unlocking the dark machinery that powers them.

First released on May 21, Nine Puzzles follows Yoon Ena, a high school student who discovers the body of her murdered uncle next to a single puzzle piece. Uncertain of how she got to the scene of the crime and unable to answer any of the police’s questions, Ena quickly becomes the police’s prime suspect. A decade later, Ena, now a criminal profiler, once again finds herself caught in the middle of a series of murders, with each victim linked to a puzzle piece like the one from the night of her uncle’s murder.

GOOD BOY boasts a completely star-studded cast. From the creators to the actors, everyone boasts many accolades. Director Sim Na-yeon previously won the Best Drama Award from the 2021 Baeksang Arts Awards with the series Beyond Evil. Her previous series The Good Bad Mother was also a popular hit. Likewise, writer Lee Dae-il is known for hit series including Life on Mars, Bring It On Ghost, and Chief of Staff. Park Bo-gum is fresh off the very successful When Life Gives You Tangerines. Furthermore, his pairing with popular actress Kim So-hyun has been anticipated by fans for 10 years since they met while co-hosting an awards ceremony. Oh Jung-se is known for being a chameleon-like actor and impressed through roles in series like Revenant and It’s Okay to Not Be Okay. Actor Lee Sang-yi has built up recognition through series like No Gain No Love, Spice Up Our Love, and Bloodhounds. Heo Sung-tae is known globally through his role in the viral first season of Squid Game. Last but not least, Tae Won-seok has shown steady acting through series like Player and Private Lives. 2.  Plentiful Action & Comedy

You can look forward to an abundance of great action and comedy from the series. With each actor having spent 3 to 8 months training for their former medalist turned police officer characters, a lot of dedication and preparation was put into their roles. Park Bo-gum commented, “I really wanted to portray my character well, and all the actors would arrive early and train every day.” Director Sim Na-yeon acknowledged the hard work put into the action scenes and the intense training that was required. She also discussed how comedy was incorporated into action scenes saying, “I thought about how sports like wrestling and discus throw could be utilized for fighting. We made some adjustments and chose a comedic angle for this.” Actor Tae Won-seok teased about a scene of his where he throws wet wipes and said, “The scene is really funny and a bit fantasy-like, I hope you look forward to it.” This perfect blend of action and comedy is sure to entertain viewers.

3. Easy to Enjoy

Crime investigation series can often be hard-boiled and very serious. However, GOOD BOY blends the more serious aspects of crime investigation with fun action, comedy, and heart. Director Sim Na-yeon explained, “Regarding the tone of the series, it’s approachable with comedic and dramatic elements, it’s an easy watch. We made the series so that people could approach it comfortably and have fun watching it. I hope GOOD BOY will be a fun part of your weekend.” Kim So-hyun echoed these last sentiments saying, “We filmed during the hot summer, so I think the series will be a refreshing watch during this summer. I hope you can relieve your stress while watching our series.” Likewise, Lee Sang-yi also commented, “After working and before going to bed, I usually watch something before sleeping. If you watch GOOD BOY before going to bed on the weekends, you will have a refreshing time with delicious late night snacks.” With that said, don’t forget to add GOOD BOY to your weekend routine!

4. Satisfying Justice

One of the most refreshing aspects of this series will be the justice element of the show. As we see the good underdogs fight against villains as they strive to achieve justice, a refreshing and cathartic enjoyment can be experienced. Director Sim Na-yeon explained that the premise of the story lies within the medalist turned police officers who fight for justice. Park Bo-gum also shared, “I was impressed by the characters who fight for justice. The 5 characters fight for justice and show justice is still alive. I hope that we can be a small source of support to those government employees who are fighting for justice in the real world.” Actor Oh Jung-se, who acts as the villain of the series, said, “The charm of GOOD BOY was so strong. There are characters that have some sad stories, so you want to root for them.” In a world full of injustice and sad stories, being able to witness justice will be all the more satisfying. 

5. Meaningful Messages

GOOD BOY is a truly multi-faceted story. Incorporating elements such as action and comedy, and being approachable and easy to watch, it also has meaningful messages for viewers to ponder and be inspired by. Oh Jung-se commented, “GOOD BOY is refreshing and easy to watch, but the director also included various things for people to think about and contemplate.” He explained that viewers will think about what constitutes a villain and justice amongst other things. Heo Sung-tae shared, “I was surprised to find myself having tears in my eyes while reading about an action scene.” Even an action scene in this series can move viewers in unexpected ways. Lastly, Park Bo-gum gave some thoughtful insights about the series saying, “Embarking on a new challenge can become a driving source in one’s life. I also had a new start through this series. If you’re experiencing difficulty with your new start, I hope that GOOD BOY can be a source of comfort. I think GOOD BOY has a good direction for viewers.” Be prepared to not only be entertained, but also be moved by GOOD BOY.

Prime Video has announced the upcoming launch of Head Over Heels, a new Korean fantasy-romance series starring rising talents Cho Yi-hyun and Choo Young-woo. The unique series tells the story of a high school student setting out to save the life of her very first love.
