While shamans and fortune tellers have long been a staple of Korean culture, little has been done to prove or discredit their abilities…until now!

In Battle of Fates viewers can enjoy as fortune tellers, shamans and other oracles from across the country go head-to-head, using their different skillsets to prove that they’re the real deal. With participants from a shaman group, fate interpreters, physiognomists and tarot card readers set to join, each will participate in a range of challenges designed to prove (or disprove) their abilities. Those who fail the task will be eliminated, while those who pass will continue to the next round.

Watching the oracles take on the challenges will be “the observers”, led by five MCs - Jun Hyunmoo, Park Narae, Park Haseon, SHINDONG and Kang Jiyeong. Renowned for their dynamic presence across a wide range of entertainment programs, the observers will bring an additional layer of enjoyment and engagement for viewers.

During the event, Jun Young opened up about behind-the-scenes stories from his acting journey. When asked which of his past characters was his favorite, he humbly admitted he couldn’t pick just one, as each role held a special place in his heart. A lighthearted moment came when he was asked if he’d consider playing a student role—he quickly said no, joking that he would need to shave three times a day to look like a student, drawing loud laughter from the audience. Though now best known for his acting, Jun Young reminded everyone of his roots in music. He delighted fans by performing several songs and even showcased his killer dance moves with nostalgic covers of Gen 2 K-pop hits like SHINee’s “Ring Ding Dong.” The crowd erupted with excitement, thrilled to witness his powerful stage presence once more. Adding to the magic, Jun Young stepped down from the stage to greet fans up close, making the evening feel personal and deeply special for those in attendance.
As the fan meet drew to a close, Jun Young took a moment to reflect on his tour. He confessed he had been worried about whether he could pull it off, but the successful journey left him feeling proud and grateful. “I’m glad and thankful I could spend this meaningful time with my fans in Malaysia,” he shared warmly.
