This October, the channel with the ultimate Korean entertainment, Oh!K (Astro Ch 394), is bringing fans two new dramas; Extra-Ordinary You, premiering on Thursday, 3rd October and Blessings of The Sea premiering on Thursday, 17th October.

Eun Dan-oh (starring Kim Hye Yoon) is a 17-year-old high-school student from a wealthy family who suffers from a lifelong heart condition that inevitably means she will not live past her teenage years. However, when Dan-oh realizes she is experiencing long gaps in her memory as well, she comes into the unhappy inheritance of another fact in her life: she is a character in a Korean webtoon and all of her actions are predetermined by the artist who draws her. To make matters worse, she discovers she is only a supporting character in the cast. With her newfound understanding of the world she inhabits, she is determined to find true love in her own plotline and circumvent the author’s plans for her character by utilizing the flashes of storyboard she alone is able to see.

The Korean tale, Sim Chung Yi (starring Lee So Yeon) is a well-known fable about a young girl sacrificing her life to save her blind father. She is often referred as the best daughter, but does she really deserve all the praise to herself? The neighboring women who breast-fed her during her childhood, the Dragon King who took her in as his wife and searched for her father Sim Hak Gyu (starring Ahn Nae Sang), all supported and loved her. She could be brave because of the faith people had in her all along. Just like the fable, the Sim Chung Yi in this drama also finds her way out of the harsh reality even after losing both of her parents. Here’s to the modern-day Sim Chung Yis!

Eun Dong-Joo (starring Han Ji-Hye) attempts to get back her stolen life. When she was 6 years-old, she was abandoned at an orphanage. She did not remember anything except her name. Despite her difficult environment, she has grown into a woman with a positive and bright personality. Cha Pil-Seung (starring Lee Sang-Woo) is a detective, who is good at his job. His parents died when he was young and he was then raised by his wealthy grandmother. Even though he is popular with women, he doesn't fall in love with anyone due to trauma from his parents' deaths.

Min Chae-won (starring Eugene) is the eldest granddaughter of a family living in the outskirts of Seoul who has been running a noodle factory for three generations. Married for three years to Chul-gyu (starring Choi Won-Young), whose rich family owns the major corporation Golden Dragon Food, Chae-won has a difficult life because her mother-in-law fiercely opposes them and will not accept her.

When her husband cheats on her, she detaches herself from her in- laws and decides to divorce him. Her mother-in-law has her falsely committed to a mental institution as revenge for the divorce. She returns to the noodle factory and struggles to modernize and expand it. Chae-won later meets Lee Se-yoon (starring Lee Jung Jin), the son of a wealthy household, who is infamous for his disparaging treatment of all those around him. They both nurse wounds from their past romantic relationships.

Oh Yeong-shim (starring Shin Ae-ra) is an excellent cook and runs the household superbly. With her down-to-earth, friendly personality, she is liked by almost everyone. But she has had difficulties in conceiving a child for years with her husband. Tragedy befalls her when her husband dies in a car accident. Widowed and lonely, she is also blamed by her mother-in-law for not bearing a son who will carry the family name. Ridden with guilt due to her shortcomings as a woman, wife and daughter-in-law, she finds it hard to endure life…  

Lee Seung Gi and Suzy teamed up for the second time in a drama and this time round is for the spy action melodrama 'Vagabond'. 'Vagabond' centers around Cha Dal-gun (starring Lee Seung Gi), an experienced stuntman who goes all the way out to uncover the truth of a mysterious plane crash that killed all 211 passengers on board, including his beloved nephew. As he digs deeper into the case, he finds out about the hidden conspiracy behind the plane crash that led to a massive national corruption case.

The first two episodes have received great feedback from many viewers and according to Nielson Korea, the drama has drew up to 1.78 million viewers nationwide, marking the highest viewership ratings in its time slot across all public broadcast networks. The intense storyline paired with the cinematic action scenes and impressive visual effects have increased our anticipation for the upcoming episodes.

The anticipation towards 'Vagabond' has also triggered the excitement towards Lee Seung Gi Asia Fan Meeting Tour 'VAGABOND VOYAGE' which is set to take place in Bangkok (October 19), Singapore (October 26) and Kuala Lumpur (November 30). Fans are in for an exciting and fun-filled show that’s promised to be a memorable one at each city, where the actor and heartthrob will be sharing personal stories about his Vagabond experiences on top of showcasing his singing and variety skills at the fan meeting. This tour will also mark the 15th anniversary of the artiste’s debut, giving fans another reason to celebrate the important milestone with Lee Seung Gi.

To usher in the reveal of BTS j-hope’s ‘Chicken Noodle Soup (feat. Becky G)’ today, TikTok, the world’s leading short video platform, launches #CNSchallenge, its latest global in-app challenge in over 40 countries and regions including Malaysia, the U.S., UK and France.

#CNSchallenge, whose name takes inspiration from the abbreviation of j-hope’s ‘Chicken Noodle Soup (feat. Becky G)’, invites TikTok users to dance to the beat of the song’s catchy chorus. Other BTS members will also be uploading their own videos.

The ‘#CNSchallenge’ challenge is the second official collaboration between BTS and TikTok, with the first one being the ‘IDOL Challenge’ that took place last year. This in-app challenge aims to deliver j-hope’s ‘Chicken Noodle Soup (feat. Becky G)’ to the world in a new way on TikTok, which has ranked No. 1 in the number of worldwide downloads on the App Store last August (as per Sensor Tower, non-game category).

BTS has officially joined TikTok on the 25th, prior to the launch of the upcoming challenge. The account has gained more than 2M followers and 4M likes within 13 hours of opening, proving BTS’ global fame. Followed by the first video that celebrates the opening of their official TikTok account, BTS will be using this channel to engage with their fans across the globe.

j-hope is set to reveal his collaboration with Becky G ‘Chicken Noodle Soup (feat. Becky G)’ on September 27 at 6PM KST, accompanied with a music video, for free.

tvN’s latest talk-of-the-town drama Hotel Del Luna has dominated viewership rating charts across Asia. All of the episodes aired on tvN in Singapore achieved top 3 position among its target audience (A20-49), among all 120 Pay TV channels in Singapore.

Seeing the buzz around Hotel Del Luna and its main cast among Asian audience, tvN partnered with StarHub to bring the male lead, Yeo Jin-goo who played the elite hotelier, Gu Chan-seong in the drama, to Singapore to meet with fellow media friends and fans, right before the finale is broadcasted on tvN in Singapore and Malaysia on 2 October 2019.

During the media conference held at The Capitol Kempinski, Yeo Jin Goo shared with the audience on the shooting of Hotel Del Luna, Man-wol (played by IU), as well as some of his private life. Yeo Jin Goo revealed that although he played the main lead in the drama who was scared of ghosts, he is not afraid of any supernatural beings. Instead, the charming young actor gets spooked by tiny little bugs.

Yeo Jin Goo also displayed his impeccable acting skills through a little game he played during the occasion, where he was given three scenarios to act out on the spot. When asked to persuade the audience to buy a luxurious yacht triple the purchasing price, a simple “please buy it” from him has already garnered multiple buyers.

Following the press conference was a cosy exclusive fan moment, where Yeo Jin Goo met with 70 fans selected by tvN Asia and StarHub. Excited fans came bearing gifts were mesmerised by his radiant smile and sincere greetings, and also won a chance to hi-touch and take a group photo with the smart actor.

The full-day itinerary also involved a visit to one of the region's most iconic scare events – Universal Studios Singapore's Halloween Horror Nights 9 at Resorts World Sentosa, where Yeo Jin Goo went into two haunted houses with 12 lucky fans, and spent some horrific time together to give a perfect finale to the Star Tour.
