iQIYI International Global Ambassador Chen Zheyuan Received Overwhelming Responses from Malaysian Fans

wrapped up with overwhelming success in Kuala Lumpur, where iQIYI International
Global Ambassador Chen Zheyuan delivered a powerful presence that captivated
media and fans alike. The afternoon press conference drew over a hundred Malaysian
media representatives, while the evening fan showcase at Pavilion KL packed the
venue with spectators across four floors. 

Opening acts by Malaysian singer Layla Sania and Chinese singer and iQIYI micro-drama actress Yenny (Fu Yaning) ignited the atmosphere and set the tone for the evening. Chen made his entrance to thunderous screams, greeting the crowd with a heartfelt: “Aku Cinta Pada Mu!”, instantly sending the venue into another wave of cheers.
Making his first Malaysian appearance as the iQIYI International Global Ambassador,
Chen Zheyuan shared that he was moved by the warm welcome he received upon
arrival.
“I was exhausted when I landed, but seeing everyone’s energy instantly
made everything worthwhile,” he said.

During the press conference, Chen discussed his ambassadorial role, noting his wish
to introduce Chinese culture to global audiences through quality storytelling. “The beauty of watching dramas lies in discovering the stories and cultures
of different places. That diversity is what attracts viewers from around the
world,” he explained. He also revealed that this was why he chose to become an actor.
“Acting allows me to live different lives through each role. I’m very careful
when selecting scripts—I need to be moved first, so I can pass that
sincerity to the audience.”
When speaking about his role in Fated Hearts, Chen said he grew alongside his
character — from a bright, carefree youth to a sharp, decisive prince.
“I give my all to every role, hoping my performance can touch people’s
hearts.” He further emphasised the mission of the Starship initiative:
“Good works transcend borders. That is the purpose of the Starship
Project—to bring outstanding content to audiences everywhere.”
During the press conference, iQIYI Malaysia also announced that Fated Hearts received the title of ‘Most Watched
Chinese Drama on iQIYI Malaysia 2025’, with Dinesh presenting a bouquet to
Chen to recognise his outstanding performance.The evening iQIYI Starship 2025 Malaysia showcase at Pavilion KL drew a massive
turnout. As part of the exclusive VIP experience, over 300 VIP members gained access
to the Special Zone, where they enjoyed immersive content highlights and a rare
close-up viewing of Chen on stage.

Throughout the night, Chen posed, waved, and acknowledged the audience from
every angle, ensuring no one felt left out.
During his on-stage conversation, he also shared an update on his health, mentioning
that he plans to undergo treatment for his collarbone injury during his upcoming
break.
Selangor Princess Tengku Zatashah also graced the event to present Chen with a gift.
She playfully asked him which Malaysian food he wished to bring home, and he chose
“Cham”:
“It looks delicious, and its name sounds like my English name — Chen!”
A touching moment unfolded when the big screen played a fan-made video from his
official fan club, culminating in a full-venue singalong of Tong Hua (Fairy Tale).
Chen also fulfilled audience requests, read heartfelt letters, and joined Malaysian
artists and influencers—including Layla, KoeYeet, Alex, and Ashh Ahmad—for a series
of stage games. After losing several rounds, he cheerfully completed his playful
penalties, striking a set of adorable triple poses that sent the crowd screaming.
Before stepping offstage, he delighted audiences by saying:
“Jom Mamak!”
With standout performances in Fated Hearts, The White Olive Tree and other hit
series, Chen Zheyuan emerged as one of the most promising young actors of his
generation. His versatility and natural charisma earned him a growing regional fan
base, particularly in Southeast Asia. Malaysian audiences, drawn to his sincerity and youthful charm, remained among his
most dedicated supporters.
Through the dual-format programme—press conference and public showcase—iQIYI
reinforced its commitment to bringing premium Chinese entertainment experiences to
Malaysia and beyond. The platform continues to deepen its presence across Southeast
