Premiering exclusively on Netflix on 26 August, Seoul Vibe features a stylish crew of gearheads who team up to bust a crime ring as the South Korean capital gets ready to host the 1988 Summer Olympics. The breathtaking driving sequences, popping visuals, and groovy soundtrack make this movie a feast for the senses. The summer of 1988 sees South Korea in the grip of Olympics fever as Seoul gears up to host the massive event. In the days leading to the Summer Olympics, a crew of drivers and mechanics called “Sanggye-dong Supreme Team” uncover some fishy business involving a VIP slush fund. 

Netflix upcoming action film 'Carter' held a press conference today with the present of actor Joo Won and director Jung Byung-gil. Both are excited to share the behind-the-stories while filming the movie, and Joo Won described the action in Carter as "incomparable to his previous works." 

Despite his extensive experience, the difficulty level of the film's action scenes required intensive training in preparing for the role. A one-take scene at the film's beginning has Carter escaping from a motel and ending up in a public bathhouse where he fights off a hundred men. Other scenes occur in the narrow space inside a van, on motorcycles, and in a helicopter. Because there were so many of these scenes, they needed to be pieced together before filming with three to four months devoted to intensive training and preparations.

Joo Won's hard work in putting his stamp on each scene dazzled everyone on set. He performed almost all of the action himself, with every single day of filming involving some type of stunt work. Director Jung Byung-gil revealed that "Joo Won is a natural, and it's no wonder many consider him to be the best among male actors." Director Jung was impressed by not only Joo Won’s action performance but also his meticulous portrayal of Carter's emotions.

Joo Won's efforts in perfecting his role did not end there. He bulked up seven kilograms in muscle mass to achieve the physical appearance of a human weapon of war. His impassioned performance in this role of a lifetime promises to keep viewers fully engaged and sweaty-palmed. The explosive energy and passion that are unique to Joo Won make Carter a hard-hitting actioner in a class of its own.

Netflix has revealed the main trailer for The Sound of Magic, a story featuring Yoon Ah-yi, a girl who has lost sight of her dreams in the face of reality, and Na Il-deung, a boy pressured to pursue his dreams. An unexpected yet enchanting story unfolds when they encounter the mystical magician Rieul. Based on the popular webtoon Annarasumanara by Ha Il-kwon, director Kim Sung-yoon and writer Kim Min-jung focused on delving into the question of what it means to dream and become a true adult. Writer Kim Min-jung hopes viewers can see the different types of adults from Ah-yi and Il-deung’s perspectives, and reflect upon what it means to be a “good” grown-up. 

On 4 March, Netflix hosted its first-ever Live Fan Meet with Song Kang via THE SWOON, Netflix’s YouTube channel dedicated to Korean content. This was also the first virtual Live Fan Meet for Song Kang, a familiar face in the K-drama realm with his multiple appearances in series such as Love Alarm (season 1 & 2), Sweet Home, Nevertheless, and Forecasting Love and Weather.

Song Kang is ready to meet fans worldwide in a virtual live fan meeting hosted by Netflix. 

The event will be aired through Netflix’s Korean content YouTube channel THE SWOON, and will feature a Q&A, quiz, and many more engaging interactions with the beloved actor. Forecasting Love and Weather is a romantic comedy series about people at the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) who break, fall and get back on their feet every day. The story narrates Jin Ha-kyung (starring Park Min Young), who decides never to commit to an office romance after a brutal break-up, again falling into a relationship with a newcomer in the team Lee Si-woo (starring Song Kang) who is different but attractive in his own way. 

Yesterday evening, director Cha Young Hun and the cast - Park Min Young, Song Kang, Yoon Bak and Yura attended 'Forecasting Love and Weather' online press conference and talked about their characters in the drama and difficulties they faced when playing the roles.

Q: Why did you decided to take this role? 

Park Min Young: It felt refreshing at first but after filming it, I have some regrets. As this is a new concept about weather forecast so there's no other drama reference that I can look up to and so I watched documentaries to familiarise with the terms and the pattern of the speech. It was fun but really tough. As I did my homework I feel proud of myself. 

Song Kang: The concept about weather felt fresh to me. I find myself smiling as I read the script. The transparent and clumsy character as Si-woo was just right for me. I tried to make the character as bright as possible. The lines were hard so I watched a lot of documentaries. As for my appearance, I cut my hair short and I look a little dumb.

Yura: I auditioned for twice. I read the script from the perspective of an audience so it was really fun. I really wanted to join the drama, so when I got the call back, I almost flew around the house. That's how much I love the script. 

Yoon Bak: Honestly, I like all the other characters except mine. I almost decided not to take the role because of his character but was persuaded by the director after I met him. I was really stressed out by the character Han Ki Joon.

With a star-studded cast of Park Min Young, Song Kang, Yura and Yoon Bak, this is one of the most anticipated Romantic Comedies in the first half of 2022. Watch it on Netflix on 12 February.
