Calling all K-pop fans! Daesung, the powerhouse vocalist of legendary K-pop group BIGBANG is finally making his highly anticipated return to Malaysia with a solo concert! His “D’s WAVE” 2025 Asia Tour in Malaysia will take place on Saturday, June 7, at 6PM at the Arena of Stars, Resorts World Genting. Tickets will go on sale at 4.26PM on May 2.

This concert marks Daesung’s long-awaited solo comeback to the Malaysia stage after several years, much to the excitement of his dedicated fans. Renowned for his soulful voice and dynamic stage presence, Daesung promises an unforgettable show filled with heartfelt music and high-energy performances.

The “D’s WAVE” Asia Tour kicks off on April 26–27 at Seoul’s Olympic Hall, followed by stops in Ho Chi Minh City, Taipei, Hong Kong, Kobe, Yokohama, and more. 

Amid fan anticipation, Daesung’s agency, R&D Company and D-Label, has officially included Malaysia on the tour map. The tour also coincides with the release of Daesung’s first solo mini-album, “D’s WAVE”, making this his first major performance featuring brand-new tracks and a refreshed concept.

Aside from his musical talents, Daesung is beloved for his charming personality and sense of humor, having left a strong impression in the world of variety shows, youtube, and entertainment. This concert is not only a musical celebration, but also a heartwarming reunion between Daesung and his fans.

After setting 2025 ablaze with hits like Unmasked and Hyper Knife, Disney+ Hotstar is keeping its momentum rolling with the premiere of a gripping new Korean crime thriller: Nine Puzzles. The cerebral drama, starring Kim Dami (Itaewon Class, Our Beloved Summer) and Son Sukku (Big Bet, D.P.), will debut exclusively on the platform May 21, with all six episodes dropping at once.

Nine Puzzles follows Yoon Ena, a high school student whose life shatters when she discovers her murdered uncle’s body, beside a single, cryptic puzzle piece. Unable to recall how she ended up at the scene and unable to answer police questions, Ena becomes their prime suspect. A decade later, now a sharp-witted criminal profiler, Ena is thrust back into the shadows of her past when a chilling series of murders surfaces, each leaving behind a puzzle piece eerily similar to the one from her youth.

Joining Kim Dami and Son Sukku in this psychological rollercoaster are Kim Sungkyun (Moving, The Fiery Priest) as Police Captain Yang Jungho, and Hyun Bongsik (When Life Gives You Tangerines, Gangnam B-Side) as Junior Detective Choi San. The series is directed by acclaimed filmmaker Yoon Jongbin (Narco Saints, The Spy Gone North) and penned by Lee Eunmi (Tunnel, Navillera).

Nine Puzzles is part of Disney+ Hotstar’s ambitious 2025 Korean Original slate, which has already captivated audiences with Unmasked and Hyper Knife, the latter racing to become the most-viewed Korean premiere on the platform globally this year. Fans can also look ahead to even more heavy-hitting releases like Low Life, a treasure-hunting saga starring Ryu Seungryong, and the high-stakes international conspiracy thriller Tempest, featuring Jun Gianna, Gang Dongwon, John Cho, and Michael Gaston.

The tour, titled ‘Serenades & Body Rolls,’ elegantly blends the heartfelt allure of sweet serenades with the captivating rhythm of body rolls, offering fans a diverse and unforgettable musical experience. With his vast performance experience, Jay Park has headlined some of the biggest domestic and international festivals. His exceptional showmanship consistently elevates his performances, leaving audiences craving more. Known for his high energy, dynamic stage presence, and chart-topping hits, Jay Park will deliver a setlist packed with fan favourites, new releases, and surprises that will leave the audience in awe. 

It may be summer all year round in Malaysia, but for one night, Super Junior’s Yesung brought the feeling of spring to Kuala Lumpur with his heartfelt vocals, soft ballads, and signature warmth, marking the final stop of his solo concert tour, 2025 YESUNG CONCERT [It’s Complicated] in ASIA.

The venue at Zepp KL was filled with fans dressed in pink and white, creating a dreamy springtime vibe that perfectly matched the emotional tone of Yesung’s music. It was a sight to behold—ELFs coming together in unity, as if blooming like cherry blossoms in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.

During the night, Yesung surprised the crowd with a special performance of ‘Paper Umbrella’, the beloved title track from his second mini album Spring Falling. “It’s been a long time since I performed this song,” he shared. “I wasn’t in my best condition, but I thought you guys would love to hear it, so I specially prepared it for you.” The crowd responded with a roar of cheers and soft singalongs, soaking in the rare and sentimental moment.

Throughout the night, Yesung delivered a powerful and emotional set of 24 songs, including all tracks from his sixth mini album: “It’s Complicated,” “There She Goes Again,” “Easy,” “Beautiful Paradox,” and “Curtain.” Of course, fan-favourites like “Pink Magic,” “Slide Away,” and the iconic drama OST “It Has to Be You” were also part of the night’s touching setlist.

But one of the most unexpected highlights of the night? Yesung’s playful attempt to turn the ballad-heavy stage into a Waterbomb Festival experience. Using nothing more than a regular water bottle with a straw, he playfully sprayed water toward the standing-zone audience, testing whether such a move could work during a ballad concert.

To his surprise—and the fans’ delight—it did. Laughter erupted throughout the venue as the moment turned light-hearted and full of joy. Who says a ballad singer can’t do this? cause Yesung can!

Kuala Lumpur held a special place in his heart that night, as he acknowledged the unique layout of the venue. "Other stops didn’t have standing zones like this. It feels different and exciting to perform with this kind of energy. I feel a little shy when performing, cause you guys are just right in front of me."

Towards the end, Yesung shared a heartfelt message with fans: “What made this tour special was being able to meet ELF in new places. I exist because of you, the fans. It’s an honor to continue this journey with you, and I sincerely thank you. If I could make a small wish, it’s that you’ll continue to love and support me in the future.”

Before saying goodbye, he gave fans one more reason to hold on with excitement: “Malaysia is a special place for Super Junior. I hope I’ve created good memories with you today. After I return to Korea, we’ll begin recording for Super Junior’s 20th anniversary album.”

With Super Junior’s 20th anniversary this year and Yesung’s solo 20th anniversary next year, the beloved vocalist teased more activities to come, cheekily adding: “Just focus on me and don’t go to other concerts!”

As the night came to a close, fans were left with not just melodies and memories, but a promise of more to come—whether as a soloist or with his Super Junior brothers. Here's hoping Yesung returns to Malaysia very soon.
