&TEAM and LUNÉ Turn Kuala Lumpur Into an Endless Encore

&TEAM’s first-ever Malaysia concert quickly became a night where the energy between the group and LUNÉ seemed impossible to contain.

Organised by iMe MY, the 2026 &TEAM CONCERT TOUR ‘BLAZE THE WAY’ IN KUALA LUMPUR took over Kuala Lumpur on Aug. 19, marking the nine-member group’s highly anticipated Malaysia debut.

Nearly four years into their career, the multinational boy group under HYBE’s Japanese label YXL LABELS features Korean leader EJ, Taiwanese member NICHOLAS, Japanese vice leader FUMA, K, YUMA, JO, HARUA, TAKI and German-Japanese member MAKI.

Taking the stage in stylish leather outfits accented by the tour’s signature green, &TEAM wasted no time turning the sold-out venue into a sea of screams. The group opened with powerful performances of “Back to Life,” “Lunatic,” and “War Cry,” immediately setting the tone for an evening built on music, movement and an unmistakable connection with Malaysian LUNÉ.

But the sweetest moments came when the members spoke directly to their new audience.

Touched by the turnout, &TEAM told fans, “Thank you for coming. We finally made it to Malaysia to meet all of you!” The members also greeted LUNÉ in Malay, bringing out phrases they had clearly practised for the occasion, including “Rindu kami tak?” (“Do you miss us?”), “Saya sayang korang” (“I love you all”) and “Mantap!” (“Awesome!”).

The reaction was immediate. Hearing &TEAM speak in the local language was enough to send the crowd into another round of cheers, with the members’ playful attempts making the connection between the group and their Malaysian fans even more adorable.

Across nearly three hours, &TEAM kept the momentum high with demanding performances of “Road Not Taken,” “Deer Hunter,” “Go In Blind,” and “Bewitched.” They also moved through songs from their four-season-themed series, including “五月雨 (Samidare),” “十五夜 (Jyuugoya),” and “雪明かり (Yukiakari),” before pushing the atmosphere even higher with “We On Fire.”

And if there was any question about how loud Malaysian LUNÉ could get, the audience answered it themselves.

The members repeatedly praised the crowd, telling them, “You’re amazing! Your screams are so loud!” When &TEAM invited everyone to sing along to “Aoarashi,” the response came back with such force that the members could only praise the sound, saying it was “so good” and that the Malaysian fans were even louder than audiences in other countries.

At one point, &TEAM made it clear that the Kuala Lumpur stop had the highest tension and some of the loudest cheers they had experienced. LUNÉ, naturally, took that as a challenge and gave them even more.

MAKI later raised the bar even higher, saying Malaysia had even better energy than their recent Los Angeles stop and asking fans to “never change.” It was the kind of compliment Malaysian fans were more than happy to accept.

The encore brought another burst of chaos and fun. Returning in white tour T-shirts featuring hand-drawn designs, the members launched into “Run Wild,” before HARUA, FUMA and TAKI joined fans in an impromptu dance battle.

Then came the concert’s running joke.

Following the group’s tradition from previous tour stops, a chosen keyword for “Really Crazy” meant the members had to perform the song again and again. In Kuala Lumpur, that keyword was “Saya Sayang Korang.”

The result? Five performances of “Really Crazy.”

What started as a concert tradition became an extended love confession between &TEAM and Malaysian LUNÉ, with the crowd happily demanding more each time.

The emotional side of the night arrived when NICHOLAS opened up about the members’ worries before their Malaysia debut. “We were worried that no one would come to the concert, but you all came!” he told the audience, promising that the group would continue working hard and hoping to return to Malaysia to meet LUNÉ again soon.

But Malaysian LUNÉ was not ready to let them go.

As the concert reached its apparent ending, fans kept shouting “Encore!” &TEAM had already returned to the stage, but the endless cheers brought them back for a second encore, and then another. In total, the group delivered four encore rounds, adding “Aoarashi,” “Big Suki,” and “Drop Kick” to the night.

By then, the line between performer and audience had almost disappeared. LUNÉ formed a circle and danced together during the encores, matching &TEAM’s energy with their own. It was loud, spontaneous and exactly the kind of crowd that turns an encore into something more than an encore.

&TEAM came to Kuala Lumpur ready to make their Malaysia debut. They left after a night of powerful performances, Malay greetings, five rounds of “Really Crazy,” four encore rounds and a crowd that simply refused to stop shouting.

For &TEAM and LUNÉ, the message was clear: Malaysia’s energy is not going anywhere.
