NCT Wish Make a Bright First Impression in Kuala Lumpur With ‘INTO THE WISH’
Monday, February 09, 2026For the first time, NCT Wish brought their 1st Concert Tour ‘INTO THE WISH: Our WISH’ to Kuala Lumpur, turning Mega Star Arena into a bright, singing sea of light on Feb 6, 2026. Organized by iMe Malaysia, the night marked the group’s long-awaited first meeting with Malaysian fans, and both sides made sure it was unforgettable.
SION, JAEHEE, YUSHI, RIKU, SAKUYA, and RYO opened the night in dazzling silver-grey suits, carrying a prince-like charm as they stepped onto the stage. The concert began with “Steady,” setting the tone with youthful confidence and sharp choreography. From the first beat, the crowd responded with loud chants and waving lightsticks, matching the group’s energy step for step. Next up were tracks from their first mini album including “Songbird” and “Skate.” The energy only intensified with performances of “On & On,” “Reel-ationship,” “Wishful Winter,” and “Baby Blue,” showcasing their stable live vocals, tight choreography, and youthful charisma.
One of the most touching moments came during the mid-section ballad stage. Under dreamy starry sky visuals and shooting star projections, the group leaned into a softer, more emotional tone. Their live vocals carried maturity and sincerity, turning the arena into a glowing sea of lightsticks swaying in unison. During “1000,” when the members shared handwritten Malay messages with the crowd. Yushi greeted fans with “Selamat malam,” Jaehee charmed the audience with “Senyummu sangat manis,” and Sakuya sweetly added “Jumpa lagi ya.” The effort drew warm cheers, with fans visibly touched by the gesture.
It may have been their first time in Malaysia, but the members quickly made themselves at home. As first-time visitors to Malaysia, the members made a heartfelt effort to connect with local fans. During their interaction segments, they surprised the crowd with Malay phrases delivered clearly and confidently. “Saya sayang korang,” “Gembira jumpa korang,” and “Jerit kuat-kuat” echoed across the venue, drawing massive cheers. They shared how much they liked the weather, joking that although it was hot, the fans’ cheers made them feel even hotter. Throughout the night, they mentioned how the constant support gave them energy, feeding off the crowd’s volume and excitement.
During “Make You Shine,” the connection became even more tangible as the members tossed signed balls into the audience, creating a wave of screams and outstretched hands. Before the encore, fans surprised the group by singing “Wichu” together. The members returned to the stage smiling widely, praising the crowd for singing so well. It was a simple but heartfelt exchange that showed how closely both sides were listening to each other.
As a special token of appreciation, NCT WISH prepared star-shaped charms during encore, symbolizing the group, and randomly tossed them into the audience, delighting lucky fans. The members also expressed their hope to return to Malaysia again soon.
As the concert drew to a close, emotions ran high. The members took turns sharing their final words in Malay. SION described meeting Malaysian fans as a truly happy experience and promised, “Kami akan kembali ke sini.” JAEHEE shared memories of visiting Kota Kinabalu in the past and said this Kuala Lumpur trip gave him wonderful new memories. YUSHI expressed how much he enjoyed Malaysia and thanked fans for their warm support. RIKU spoke emotionally, promising to work even harder and adding, “Saya sayang korang.” SAKUYA said, “Terima kasih kerana datang hari ini,” while RYO ended with a hopeful “Jumpa lagi.”
Again and again, they promised they would be back.
For NCT Wish, Kuala Lumpur was not just another tour stop. It was the beginning of a new chapter, written together with fans who sang, cheered, and made the night their own.
Thank you iMe Malaysia for the invite!
