As the countdown to the much-anticipated premiere of Netflix's enigmatic mystery-thriller series, "Mask Girl," draws near, the cast and director of the show graced a captivating press conference to shed light on the intricacies of the story and their experiences working together. Lead actors Ko Hyun-jung, Ahn Jae-hong, Yeom Hye-ran, NANA, Lee Han-byeol, and director Kim Yong-Hoon were in attendance, adding to the excitement of the impending release.
Mask Girl delves into the compelling journey of Kim Mo-Mi (starring Ko Hyun-jung, Nana and a new talent yet to be revealed), an office employee marginalized by her own insecurities about her appearance. Her thwarted childhood dreams of fame find a second life in her night-time persona as the internet cam model 'Mask Girl,' her identity safely hidden behind a mask, relishing the attention she'd always desired.
As the story unfolds, we meet Mo-Mi's colleague, Ju Oh-Nam (starring Ahn Jae-jong). Burdened by his own insecurities and struggle for recognition, he becomes obsessed with 'Mask Girl,' uncovering her true identity as Mo-Mi. His only respite after a day's work is to lose himself in her captivating broadcasts.
The narrative takes a dramatic twist with the entry of Kim Kyung-Ja (starring Yeon Hye-ram), a divorcee who has dedicated her life to her son. When her golden boy mysteriously disappears, she finds herself entangled in a desperate quest that leads her to the enigmatic 'Mask Girl.'
Unbeknownst to her pursuers, Mo-Mi has vanished, leaving no trace. She skillfully evades Kyung-Ja's pursuit, acquiring a new identity and the stunning looks she's always dreamed of, ever closer to the dazzling life she's coveted.

Mask Girl charts the riveting tale of a woman desperate for love and recognition, grappling with her identity and the unforeseen ripples her actions create.
