The Must-Go South Korea's Unique Festivals in May~July

The weather turns warmer which means summer is ringing the bell and welcoming the festive season. Every May~July, Korea is filled with plenty of unique and wonderful festivals. We've rounded up some of the top festivals happening in South Korea over the next 3 months. Check them out below!

Jindo Miracle Sea Road Festival

Once a year at Jindo Island in Jeollanamdo (the southern part of Korea, around 2hrs 40mins from Seoul by KTX train), the sea mysteriously parts and creates a pathway which allows visitors to walk through the sea from the main island to a smaller nearby island.

You can enjoy walking along the sea road, gathering abalone and join various activities and performances at Jindo Miracle Sea Road Festival.

Goseong Lavender Festival
Goseong Lavender Festival tour is available from 1 to 21st June
June, the month that you can enjoy walking through the purple lavender fields as lavenders are fully bloomed in Goseong, Gangwon-do (around 5hrs 21mins from Seoul by KTX train). Goseong Lavender Festival definitely is the best place to see the elegant purple flowers. The festival will feature various programs, exhibitions and even classical music concert.

ps: Before visiting the lavender festival, you may stop by Seoraksan Moutain which is the highest mountain in the Gangwon Province located at Seokraksan National Park.

Island Fest Bomb 2018
If you want to experience a vibrant nightlife in Jeju, head east to Playce Camp Jeju for a 2-day music festival, Island Fest Bomb 2018.
