Samsung Celebrates The Arrival of Galaxy A9 Along with AOA, BTOB's Sungjae & DJ Soda

A number of surprises over the weekend have grabbed the attention of the K-POP fans as we announced the special appearance of AOA and BTOB's Sungjae to a private event and lucky fans were given a chance to meet the idols up close. Many fans started to pick up the pieces and trying hard to guess "What Are They Coming For?" (ps: we bet you know the answer now ><)

Samsung Electronics hosted A Galaxy Event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 11 October to unveil the Galaxy A9, a smartphone built for those who love to explore, capture the moment and share it as they see it. The pioneering Galaxy A9 debuts the world’s first rear quad camera and is packed with features designed to help you live each day to the fullest.

Galaxy A9 was the centre of attention during the day but the surprise star-studded performance by AOA, BTOB's Yook Sung Jae, Joe Flizzow and DJ Soda also shined a spotlight during the global launch. Sungjae first greeted Samsung members and fans at the pre-session of the event, sharing his love towards the newly launched Galaxy A's camera features.

AOA, however, charmed the audiences with their live performance, "Bingle Bangle" at A Galaxy Event. Followed by the hit performances - "Heart Attack", "Like A Cat" and "Mini Skirt" were also played during the after party. DJ Soda continued the hype by playing her famous club hits which made the crowd went frenzy.

The Galaxy A9 will be available soon in Malaysia, so stay tuned! Asides, Samsung's newest triple lens camera, the Galaxy A7, has been making so much buzz. In just 3 days, Samsung is proud to announce that all pre-order units of the Galaxy A7 have been sold out since its commencement on 15th October!

We bet you're exciting to hear about AOA and BTOB's Sungjae news on GOKpop Malaysia page but have been clueless on what's going around right? First all, we would like to apologise for the delay as we were waiting for the confirmation from the organiser. So now, wait no more and check out the latest updates about AOA and BTOB's Sungjae event in Malaysia.

1. Is this a private or public event?

This is a private event which is by invitation only.

2. AOA and BTOB's Sungjae are coming for what event?

As this is a private event, so we can't disclose much information about it. Hope for your understanding.

3. I filled the form that posted on GOKpop Malaysia page last week. So, what to do next?

All you need to do is to wait and get notification from the organiser. A QR code will be sent to selected winners via text message.

4. I missed the chance to fill the form, so, what can I do to join this event?

Due overwhelming responses we have to close the form as only limited winners will be selected due to venue constraint. However, we'll post more information on the page once received the green light from the organiser.

5. Who will be selecting the winner?

The event organiser will be selecting the winners not GOKpop Malaysia. We are just helping them to share this great news to the fans.

6. When will the organiser notify the winners?

As we are not the organiser, so we can't give you the exact date/time on when they will notify the winners. Instead, we'll update the page once the organiser started to contact the winners. So that you'll know whether you're being selected.

Unforgettable week indulged in the great K-performances and Korean celebrities' appearance in Malaysia. We bet you're still in the celebration yet exciting mode, so let us throw back some highlights of this week event happen in KL: K-Wave Music Festival 2017, Puma Night Run 2017, The Battleship Island Malaysia Star Tour and YG Republique KL Grand Opening.

The week of August kicked off with an impressive lineup of K-Pop Idols' performances in K-Wave Music Festival 2017 which held at Sunway Lagoon Surf Beach on 5 August. Featuring 6 K-Pop idols groups - HIGHLIGHT, Apink, B1A4, BTOB, Teen Top and Victon, Malaysian fans went wild screaming and chanting for their favourite idol groups in showing support. Each idol groups showed off their dynamic dance performance and delighted each fans at the venue.

Not only that, the organiser Mcalls dropped a teaser on K-Wave 2 Music Festival which will be coming soon~

On the same day of 5 August, actor Lee Jae Yoon joined the annual Puma Night Run 2017 at Cyberjaya, Putrajaya. Lucky fans even bumped into him and had a fun night running together with the actor.

Up next was the star-studded The Battleship Island Malaysia Star Tour features the appearance of the cast - Hwang Jung Min, So Ji Sub, Song Joong Ki and also the director Ryoo Seung Wan. The cast and director came to promote the movie, The Battleship Island which has been receiving rave reviews ahead of its release in Korea and gained immense interest overseas including Malaysia.

More than 6,000 fans swarmed to the main entrance of Pavilion on 9 August just to grab a great spot to see Hwang Jung Min, So Ji Sub and Song Joong Ki up close! Although it was a short appearance but the fans were more than satisfied to see them real close.

Right after the Mall Appearance, the actors and director went to the Gala Premiere and greeted the invited guests once again. The next day, they attended the press conference and answered various questions about the movie. The Battleship Island will premiere in cinemas starting from 17 August, do check out the historical movie that talks about roughly 400 Korean people who attempt to escape from the forceful coal mining at the Battleship Island during the Japanese colonial era.

Lastly was the most recent event happened last Friday (11 August), YG Republique KL Grand Opening which welcomed the impressive special guests: BIGBANG's Seungri, Jung Joon Young, FT Island’s Jonghoon as well as DJs Danu, Glory and TPA, and YG KPlus models Yeon Hui and Soh Hee.

All the special guests had dinner at the restaurant then head to Zouk right after. YG stans have now a new hangout spot as YG Republique KL is now open to public for dine-in. *Do note this is a non-halal restaurant.

Currently, we are still in the post-syndrome mode after seeing most of our favourite celebrities within a week. Let's rewind this wonderful week before starting the Monday blues.
